Never Trust A Republican

The Republicans have started an unjustified war, which has cost us thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars. They have ruined our econony by tax cuts for the rich and record spending. They have sent our good jobs offshore and replaced them with Walmart jobs. They proposed putting our Social Security into the sinking stock market. They have spied on Americans without warrants, and of course they want our votes in November.

It is becoming fun to watch McCain wiggle out there.

Republicans can wiggle out of most anything. It's what they're good at.
And here's something rather timely: By LARA JAKES JORDAN, Associated Press Writer Feb. 22, 2008 WASHINGTON - Republican Rep. Rick Renzi was charged Friday with extortion, wire fraud, money laundering and other crimes in an Arizona land swap that authorities say helped him collect hundreds of thousands of dollars in payoffs. |

Renzi is McCain's Campaign Co-Cairman in Arizona.

VERY soon to be "was", one assumes. Just the other day, I read in Molly Ivins' final beek: "Renzi may well yet prove to be both the most piss-witted and the most corrupt member of Congress." I thought that an apt statement; it's nice to see at least half of it adopted as a legal position. |
I editorialized about Renzi several months before the 2006 election. It's nice to find out that I was right all along. |

Don't it make you just proud as punch to know that all the action that's going on in National Politics comes back to our local boys? Durn proud. Arizona. Then Evan Mecham goes and dies. Now THERE was a landmark dude.

As I recall, a certain democratic candidate for president voted on that war....twice. Republicans, eh? |
Very disingenuous there dark knight. It was Bush/Cheney that got us into this war, and everyone knows it but you.
The Democrats are certainly not sainted and pure, they'rs just not as greedy and bloodthirsty as the Republicans.
I will vote for the Democrats until some kind of viable Libertarian/Green party emerges.

Gotta love those repugnicans! They don't even draw the line at shafting their own party:

Everything that you said might very well be true, but I wouldn't be to quick to trust anyone with the name "Luciefers Hammer" either. |

Trust the repugnican president to know only what he's told, by those who are afraid to tell him anything except what he already 'knows'. Trust Darth Cheney to decide what the president needs to know.
