Border Patrol agent Gary Patrick Callahan has had a reputation in Cochise County as a anti-Communist, drug-hating survivalist during his nearly twenty years on the southeast Arizona frontier.

Now Callahan's really got a reason to hate drugs.
Paradise Valley dentist Bill Bartel, who is accused of trying to peddle 81 pounds of cocaine, has named Callahan as his source. Bartel also has implicated his sister, Betty Lindstrom, who supposedly is another coke conspirator.

So, who's idea was it to run the stuff up to William Bartel? Did Gary Callahan decide to do it, and Betty just went along?

I don't understand why you all act like The Bisbee Avenger is making all this up. This stuff really happened folks. Okay it was 20 years ago but this is some heavy information. She got caught, simple as that. She's no martyr.

Betty can spin the story any way she wants; however, that does not mean it is the truth. Face it, Betty is not the virtuous virgin she makes out to be. No one forced Betty to do what she did. If she had any morals she would have refused to get involved no matter how poor she was. What she did was big time and she kept going until she got caught. Let's all stop to think about a man who is locked up in prison for the rest of his life. We will never hear his side of the story but he will never be able to enjoy the freedom Betty and her brother now have. How is it that Gary is locked up and Betty and her brother are free? Think about that people. Think about what went down to make that happen.
