Coming to Bisbee in May-June. Community dinners? Easy to make friends?

Hello all,

We are coming to Bisbee for awhile and wondered how we could connect with folks and make friends? I hear everyone is very friendly and accepting.

We are very down to earth, open minded, friendly and need a change of weather....you know how it is when you get a little older the cold gets in the bones - so the sunny weather will be a wonderful treat.

We are in our early 60's and not yet retired. Wondering if there is a small business or service needed that does not exist already?

Also is there public transportation to Tuscon?
Does the Douglas Airport have a flight to Tuscon?

Thanks for your feedback! and Happy New Year!

No commercial flights out of any Airport outside of Tucson in Southern Arizona. Sierra Vista in the past has had flights to Phoenix but don't think exist anymore.
Bisbee has been below 10 degrees for 4 consecutive days. Might warm up, Bisbee is at a mile high and cold at night. You might be disappointed. Sunny days are nice but them cold nights zap you.
The men's shelter used to have a community dinner every wed night and may still. I think you can booka transport to Tucson but here is no regular bus service outside of town.

The Bisbee Visitor Center is probably your best bet for
information.

There is an "sexy sixty's" orgy that is held in the pool hall in St. Elmo's bar every night an hour before closing, or in the men's bathroom...

There are many Bisbee people who will accept you if you have lots and lots of money and spend it freely on them. Also, if you bring lots of "stuff" that they can borrow and never return. Another thing is if you have any connections to get them where they might want to go would be a good thing to have. You should be able to buy yourselves a circle of friends.
