The Alabama Fire Association has hired a controversial and disgraced speaker by the name of John Giduck for their 2013 AFA Conference. John Giduck who claims to be a Russian Special Forces consultant despite completing only 58 days of US military service boastfully claims ties to a Russian group that the Washington Times and Weekly Standard say bombed a US Embassy.

While John Giduck certainly has a right to pursue his speaking career, we as taxpayers should be questioning if the Alabama Fire Association should be supporting such a speaker at tax payer expense. If john Giduck's association were with Al Queda, I doubt that the AFA would contract him as a speaker...why is another group that bombed a US Embassy any different?
