What a ridiculous waste of resources and tax money...watching a couple of guys growing some plants.

Real criminals you got there. I can feel safer when I go to sleep at night knowing these green thumbs are behind bars.

Oh wait, I can't sleep because some jerkoff has broken into my house to rob me. Where are the police?

Oh that's right. They are busy on a garden stakeout.

Can you say "fucked priorities"?

I agree. No natural form of a plant should be illegal. They have legal chemicals that who knows what it is. They can't keep up with making every new thing illegal. Just regulate it. It will pay for itself. Create jobs, tax revenue, level people out. Mis-education is the only reason its illegal!!

Maybe the state police should set up surveillance at any local bar at about 2am and pick-up drunk drivers...avoid a few drunk driving accidants...inconsistant laws.

The drug cartels/government hates competition! You slaves will NOT be allowed to grow the most useful all natural plant known to man! Our obedient men with uniforms, badges and guns are there to enforce the laws that protect the big drug cartels who in turn launder their suitcases of cash thru Wall St. and into the hands of the elite who make the laws.

So really, who were these men hurting? Tending a few plants in a field....!!!! Who is the victim?

This prohibition, against a plant that God left growing all over this planet for us to use, is against natures law. The ONLY people it harms are the victims of badge and gun. Smoking MJ has never killed anyone, in fact it is a natural medicine. I hope everyone who supports prohibition of this plant is stricken with cancer and is denied MJ for relief. In fact, the TCH oil can actually CURE cancer...google: rick simpson

Remember, it wasn't the peace pipe that crippled the native Americans, it was the booze.

Just because something is natural does not mean it is good for you. Why don't you eat some poison berries & mushrooms if you want proof. Marijuana is an illegal drug & I believe is a gateway drug into more harmful drugs. It also impairs judgement, which makes me wonder what motivated your pro-marijuana comments. We are a nation of laws, and your anarchist comments are part of the problem. We need to enforce all of the laws, not just some of them.

You believe everything someone tell you, don't you?

Alcohol is more harmful than pot in many ways that have nothing to do with health.
I would also argue that the 'gateway drug' argument is horseshit. We are all taught from childhood that pains and ails can be solved with drugs of some sort, be it aspirins or whatever. THOSE are your gateway drugs. The ONLY reason pot is illegal is because of William Randolph Hurst and his bullshit campaign to keep hemp from taking over the paper industry.

The illegality of pot at this point in history is stupid, especially when you consider the alternative of making it legal and taxing it. In a time where states are struggling to make ends meet, and having to spend money to bust people for this, then PAY to keep them incarcerated is nothing short of simple insanity.

Yet we happily allow beer to be advertised on tv, and the kids who see those ads to die in cars from drunken driving. Where's the outrage and call for prohibition again if it's a argument of public health and safety and the reason why pot is still illegal?

It's like keeping it legal to kick someone in the face while making it illegal for you to slap their hand.

No widely accepted study has ever demonstrated a cause-and-effect relationship between the use of cannabis and the later use of harder drugs like heroin and cocaine. Perhaps you can enlighten us.
