I wonder if he was coming from Bike Week in Gettysburg? Prayers for the loved ones he leaves behind.

Those are very kind words. thank you. Mike is my brother and from what I was told he was at the Bike Week. He rode off on his own at about midnight and missed a turn. Mike lived a tragic life in foster care and children's homes and appeared to be getting things together, new job etc. He taught computers part-time at a community college in Reading and then recently in Pottstown. We lost our sister to Lukemia almost 6 years ago and at her viewing Mike hugged me and asked "Why her? It should have been me!" We all miss him so much. thank you again, John

Lets get 1 thing clear. This post is as stupid as the one you put on the shooting article. If you read the story, the man hit a guy wire. The wire probably caused heavy trauma to the body, how would a helmet prevent that. Stop putting senseless drivel on these sensitive issues and save it for the truly idiotic stories

no helmet, no wonder the guy is dead. how come car drivers get tickets when they don't use the seat belt??????
I think that is the most cold-hearted response I have ever heard! Don't you think the family is having a hard enough time w/this tragedy without smart comments from you? People die in car accidents that are wearing seatbelts. They die with and without helmets. I am so aggravated at this comment I can't even express myself.

you have your opinions, i have mine. i am deeply sorry for their loss. it would be just as horrible and traumatic wether he was wearing a helmet. case closed.

My heart felt sympathies to his family and friends. He apparently died doing what he loved to do, riding his Harley. God Bless!

From the Levan family I want to thank u all for your support and prayers and well wishes. To the distractors, I am sorry for u. To set the record straight, while I believe he should have worn a helmet, it would not have mattered in this case. Mike's viewing will be at Danglers Funeral Home in Birdsboro Sat at 9:30. Again, thank u all for ur support. John

It's coming up on a year since my brother lost his life. Thanks to all who supported us after his passing. Some of you might know, but if not, the Levan sisters murdered at the motel near Birdsboro outside of Reading just a few months ago are our cousins. When Mike died they were too distraught to attend the service. When my sister died in 2003 they held the after funeral gathering at that same motel. They were wonderful people and we miss them all. Kathy, Mike, Carolyn and Charlene rest in peace. John

It's been a little over 2 yrs since Mike passed away and about 14 months since our cousins were murdered. It's been almost nine years since I lost my best friend & it will be 8 years in October since my sister Kathy died and 8 years in December since my father passed. I do not believe in much but I have hope and I hope they are all doing better now than when they were here. I love u all and miss u all so much.
