There should be one tax.

A sales tax only.

The IRS should be eliminated!

If a person is able to work they got NOTHING from government!

If they cannot find a job they go into the military!

We all know someone who WILL NOT WORK and yet lives in the USA with others paying for national defense, roads, medical care, utilities, law enforcement, sewer/water, roofs over their heads, food in their mouths!

Time for it all to end!

Here is a good example of the confusing state of taxation issues against a common citizen. Auger should have gotten legal help sooner but he tried first to resolve this ongoing situation on an individual basis.[referenced by several news stories.]

Big Brother and the state came down like 800 pound gorilla. Who needs 'reality' drama TV programs when real life dramas unfold before us.

Forget the inane rabid political discourse of right vs left. Here in White Bear Lake is a good example of the system coming down hard on a citizen, regardless of his being the WBL mayor, while not trying to be fair or reasonable. Yet, the big banks and big business get away with not paying their taxes. Something is amiss here!

Hope this affair works out for Auger. Mistakes were made but destroying this person and his small business accomplishes nothing!!!

Nice idea, but what kind of military would we have then? People who don't want to work typically don't work whether they've got a job or not - putting them in the military just means we'd have the laziest forces in the world. So much for security.

Also, are you ready for every intersection to be filled with begging children? Take away government assistance, and it is the children who will be hurt first. Children don't get to choose their parents, but you think it is okay to starve a 5 year old because he had the misfortune of being born to lazy parents?

And how about the corporations that are subsidized by government assistance. Take that away, and their employees will start demanding a living wage. You don't want the prices on all the junk you buy at Target and WalMart to go up, do you?

Hmmm...run your business in the ground and since that is happening, why not do the same with the City of White Bear Lake by "donating" lots of money to a private organization (the YMCA). Sounds like good business practices to me!

Even been in the service....you dont wanna work they will beat the shit out of you mentally until you will work.

Begging kids....well....where were they in the 1950's...i guess parents took care of their kids then. You must be scared of your shadow. Were all doomed! Government please hold our hands so we are safe. You make me sick.
