Hi all, just wanted to see if there's anyone left from the 70s that may remember a certain band from that era that performed locally. The band was 4 O'Clock Collection and we worked at the Owego Treadway Inn and I think it was the Ramada Inn in Binghamton with the huge indoor swimming pool that doubled as a nightclub. There's another place that had a rustic theme based around the days of knights [pun!:)] and the stage was a half circle shape located behind the bar. This is going back nearly 40 years and the brain ain't what it used to be.

The reason for this inquiry is I am the bassist in that band and just wanted to see if anyone actually remembers us. I'm also looking to connect with the members but hold little hope of this after all this time. If you are out there, I have a few pictures and I am working on restoring the only tape I know to exist and I have Lullaby of Birdland almost done.

Either way, just tossing this hook in the water to see if there's any bites. Thanks for reading.

Yes, but when I joined we all became multi-instrumentalists. He was more proficient on guitar but still played bass on a few of the songs and I hacked my way thru on guitar. I knew just enough to get me in trouble but the band was very forgiving.
Thanks for the reply and remembering us!

Do you recall what years this iteration was active? I entered the fray in 1974 and the lineup was Marshall Such, Alan, Sandi Oliver, Ricky Rogers and myself. Marshall worked with Pete and Lee in Sweetgarden prior to my arrival.

I was twenty years from being born. From what I gather it was all about sex and drugs and was not very cool. I am glad I was not even born thenl

There used to be a really skinny chick in Sweetgarden who did a good Laura Nyro impression. A real cutie-pie.

I remember Alyn and Lee very well..... Prior to 4 o'clock collection Alyn and Lee played in a band called the 'Electric Bachs'. Alyn was my guitar teacher back when I was 8 years old. I loved to hear Alyn sing. Mannnnn what a voice!!!!

Gosh, those were the days! I was dating Lee at the time. There was Peter Buttoph, Pete, before that that there was Larry N., John Owens....gosh...those were the great ole' days! RIP Lee Watkins. We all loved you and miss you! And yes, Alyn had an amazing voice! My sisters and I met them at the "Stage Door" which was on State St, next to the KMart. Yes, they played at Copperfield's, La Bar, Treadway Inn, and every other bar at that time!

The others in the band when I met them were: Ron Emmerick, Terry Morey...Kathy was no longer in the band...oh, and Bob Cirone lived in the upstairs apartment over Lee and Terry on Cedar St. Bob owned the duplex. OMG that was 1981-1984. Lee went to LA in January of 1984, which is when the band "broke up". Alyn tried to keep it together but the momentum was over, plus they were competing with DJ's at the time!

By the way, I have a cassette tape that was a gift from Lee, that I still have. He gave it to me in 1984, just before he moved to CA.
