Harpursville school death threats

My 14 year old daughter has been receiving alarming messages via snap chat from an unknown individual. Things like "death is your new best friend", "I will burn down the school and your blood will be on the walls", and "I wonder who will die today?" Several of her friends are getting them as well. We know it is a student in school because he/she comments on their conversations. It has been reported to the principal and police have been contacted. They have found there to be "no imminent threat." With all of the mass shootings going on, is the police department really going to take this lightly??? Do we just let this pass and let a disturbed child continue to do this to their peers? What happens when this child becomes an adult and continues this behavior and decides to act on his/her threats? A threat on my daughters life feels like an imminent threat to me!!!

Sorry you and your daughter have to deal with this. Go to the school and demand that something be done about it. Make noise. Call the NYS Police instead of Sheriffs and keep complaining.
