Navy commissions ship built with World Trade Center steel

Full story: Deseret Morning News

The USS New York , built with steel from the rubble of the World Trade Center, was put into Navy service Saturday both as a symbol of healing and strength.

My dad, who was a Korean War Navy veteran, passed away last month. He was justifiably proud of his service, as we are. God bless this ship and all who sail with her.
