Ok so here is a question...

I know NY state is tightening down on their gun laws again... more background checks and this, that and the other and...

I've been talking to friends about hunting and several have been telling / asking me to go out with them next season for deer hunting... so I was considering hitting some gun shows and see if I can get a good deal on a used 30-06 with a scope...

No big deal there but I'm right on the PA border and if I get one down there... what do I need to do so I can legally bring it / have it in NY since no background check has been done... do I have to drop it off at a friend's house in PA and do my own background check paperwork / get it verified in NY before I bring it across the border or what ?

Interesting for you to bring up this discussion. NY Lawmakers has in place to change the Law daily. LOL....

Let the game come to you...If you live near P.A.... After all... the fracing should bring them this way, Right? Then maybe you can feed your family or get a picture of yourself on the Boone and Crockett hall of fame.

You know what...

Even though I know folks down in PA that have leased their land out... I've never been hunting anywhere a fracking site... so I have no idea if all the critters get scared off or not... but I suspect they would like I've seen locally during regular drilling - then eventually come back after the well is producing and quiet... unless there is a pump station roaring nearby...

Before you ask... yes - like much of our area of NY we do / have had regular drilling over here... nothing huge i.e. about 10 wells a year in the past...

That's a map of wells...:)

Oh darn it...

I didn't notice that the forum had a problem with the URL / cut it short due to the embedded brackets...

Let me try it this way... so folks can still cut and paste it into their browser:

Hopefully it will work this time...
