So John "Mookie" Whalen allegedly steals $50,000 or so of taxpayer money and he is arrested and disgrace.

With all the thefts by city workers under Matthew T. Ryan's, it is clear city employees think they have a license to steal.

Meanwhile Mayor Matthew T. Ryan through sheer incompetence and neglect cost taxpayers $60,000,000 (sixty million)at the sewage treatment plant, lost $4,000,000 (four million) on his multiple Regency Hotel sales and botched the demolition of the O'Neil/Ross Building and cost taxpayers $750,000 but Ryan is not arrested just a disgrace.

You have been proven wrong dozens of times on your numbers and blame Arzouian and yet you still post them.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.

Wow...

You're actually upset a guy was caught stealing from the city and arrested... but guess what - I guarantee most folks would disagree with your sentiment and are actually happy the individual is going to pay for his crime...

Btw...

The guy had actually worked for the city for something like 39 years... and they've discovered at least $50,000 that he has stolen since about 2007... but if you listened to the news conference and read other reports... they think he stole much more over the years... but among other issues the problem is that it seems the prior administration's records aren't complete enough i.e. there doesn't appear to be a way to prove what he did or did not steal while working under those other administrations...

Is it just me or does Whalen look like Jerry Sanduski?

Sanduski raped little boys, Whalen raped the tax payers. Maybe they are brothers.

Unbelievable!!!!

You seem to be okay with the $64,750,000 that Ryan, Abdelazim, and Rennia have squandered. Add in the WiFi fiasco and you are looking at upwards of $65,000,000!!!!

That's peanuts compared to what Whalen did....

Thankfully Bucci had put controls in place that caught Whalen. Unfortunately, nothing Bucci did could protect the city from Ryan!!!!

What is unbelievable is that you're upset about a criminal getting arrested... maybe you're hoping he can cut a plea deal like you did on those harassment, drug and firearm charges up in Canada ?!

Btw and since you're having comprehension issues again...

Whalen worked for the city for 39 years... and was potentially stealing over a large portion of that time... and it's partly because of the bad record keeping practices of the prior administrations that no one can prove conclusively what / when he stole from the city during that time...

Also...

Everyone already knows that it was the Bucci administration that saddled everyone with the faulty phase 3 work on the sewage treatment plant... that would have had to be torn down and replaced... but you are right about the price tag...

Same goes with the hotel sale... as again everyone knows that and the associated issues was dropped into the current administration's lap by Bucci's...

As we have all said before...

No one is by any stretch of the imagination saying the current administration is faultless... but your constant ignorance about how many of the current situations came to pass and your fixation on Ryan - which remember has included stalking him to take photos because in your words you're no worse than a "paparazzi" - is quite disturbing... to the point imho that you need professional intervention Ed.

I'm not sure what Ed has to do with any of this other than idiocy on your part....

Ed did not waste $65,000,000 in Binghamton taxpayers money. That was Ryan.

Bucci has been out of office for over 7 years. The area was doing well under him. This area started going downhill the moment Ryan took office.

That's not a coincidence....

Paparazzi??? He seems more like a watchdog keeping an eye on Ryan's corruption to me!

Talking about yourself in third person isn't going to convince anyone... you already let slip who you are... same as you did with your LewisQuarrel id... and the WordWarriorNY one... and the Fausto Coppied one... and so on ad nauseum on the many forums you have been booted from due to your behavior.

EVERYONE but you evidently realizes it was the phase 3 work that had all the issues that would have required a tear down and rebuild... and that is where the cost is coming from...

So which administration did phase 3 ?!

Hey...

Why don't you show your stupidity again and claim ( again ) that an epoxy / similar injection into that cr*p concrete, design and implementation would have magically fixed all the faults like the thru wall cracks and large amounts of existing deflection in the walls...

LOL !!!

That's not a coincidence....
One of the folks on BCVoice has posted some videos of when Bucci was in office... and for some reason none of us saw any of the unicorns farting rainbows that you seem to think existed during his tenure...

In fact - quite the opposite... just more of the same...
Paparazzi??? He seems more like a watchdog keeping an eye on Ryan's corruption to me!
Because you driving around and around a person's residence when it's nowhere near your normal route... just to snap pictures of him... is in your mind normal behavior...

Wow... get help... professional help... now.

Ed Arzouian didn't move to Broome County until 2006 yet he magically thinks he knows first hand what everything was like during the Bucci administration.

If Ed Arzouian wasn't so arrogant I would pity his ignorance.

Since his arrival he has been pushed through his benefactor's various businesses i.e. the theatre, the real estate agency and then the laundry... and those are just the ones we know of...

Maybe he has realized they're running out of "jobs" for him and he is trying to kiss some more political butt - in the hopes someone else will throw him a bone ?

Considering his political track record he would be better off submitting applications to fast food restaurants. Most of them will hire convicted felons.

In order...

Whalen because he is an outright thief and god only knows how much he stole from the city.. as they're pretty darn sure he has been doing it for quite bit of his 39 year career... and they know it was at least 50,000 over the past 6 years...

And since you want to include politicians and incompetence...

Bucci for the cr*ptastic phase 3 part of the sewage treatment plant he saddled the city with... and the attempts to sell the hotel to his buddies under the table and the dropping a default into the laps of the incoming administration... and let's not forget other infrastructure work being neglected i.e. part of the reason for the current administration having to scramble for money to do bridge and road repairs...

And just an fyi someone else in the list is...

You and people like you because quite bluntly... people know about your arrest record... they've seen your bigotry and homophobia and similar disgusting behavior all over various online sites... and many of them think you're representative of people in the area since - since at least once upon a time - there were actually those that were idiotic enough to put you up for the running in an election...

Btw...

If I were to guess - nobody was answering your "question" because it was idiotic... as you're the only person I can think of that would want criminals to go free simply because ( you ) have some strange personal vendetta against a local politician(s)...

How idiotic!!!

It is clear that Bucci made good decisions at the time....

Were things perfect when Bucci left????? No, but it is clear that Doofus Ryan's handling of things have made a manageable situation, far worse!!!!

Nobody is condoning Whalen's actions. Stealing $50,000 is peanuts compared to the $70,000,000 Ryan has p*ssed away due to his incompetence!!!! It is clear the only reason you cheer for him is because he supports the rainbow agenda....

The question of the day is...

Then why didn't Bucci "manage" them before he left instead of dropping all those issues - just a few of which I listed in the previous post - into the incoming administration's lap... and don't forget... some though not all of those issues were CREATED by the Bucci administration... not things that he got stuck with himself and was just passing along...

I mean seriously...

Your $70,0000,000 value include the hotel BUCCI defaulted on and dumped in the current administration's lap - after his attempted under the table sale to his pals that fell through...

It also includes the replacement cost of the phase 3 segment of the sewage treatment plant... which was so fouled up that with cracks, missing rebar, deflection of the walls and so forth - that despite your amusing claims that epoxy etc. would have fixed it ( lol!)- couldn't be repaired...

How about the roads and bridges and stuff... you went on some of your more psycho rants about the round-about and such... completely ignoring the fact that the roads were neglected for years by the prior administration... so when the current one came in there wasn't enough money to do maintenance much less updates... which meant they had to go to DOT / similar and get funding from them... who in turn made the round-about part of the condition of the work...

Btw...

Don't try to pull your routine that you're not condoning Whalen's thefts from the city over the years... as even right up there you make your feelings clear i.e. "stealing $50,000 is peanuts"...

Thanks for sharing... and while you're entitled to your opinion... any decent and moral law abiding citizen would disagree with it.

Poor Mikey!!!! It seems he doesn't even understand basic math....

Clearly $50,000 is much less than the $70,000,000 that was bungled on Ryan's watch. Yes,$50,000 is peanuts compared to the SEVENTY MILLION DOLLARS squandered by Ryan and his Citizen's Action flunkies....

Everybody, except for Mikey, gets this....

Now it seems he has taken a page out of the Ryanista's playbook and blames everything on Bucci...

How pathetic!!!

What does a person from Elmira know about Binghamton anyway? Does anyone else find it unusual that a person from Elmira is constantly spamming Binghamton forums for hours on end instead of forums that talk about Elmira....

Clearly he is one sick, demented puppy!!!!

You are the most pathetic 52 year old I have ever encountered.
