I had a very hard but rewarding day listening to the horror stories of women who were being mentally abused by their Super Bowl men.

TV ratings are determined by the number of households tuned into a program for a given time period. Given that the majority of super bowl viewers watch the game at parties or bars, the reported ratings are grossly under reported.

I am afraid we are in for another round of this with the so called "March and Madness" Men spend the whole month guzzling beer and playing gambling pools. When their team does not win their anger boils over to domestic violencel I am sure to be pressed sin to service on the abuse hotlinel

For one...it's called March Madness. From my experience in the matter...which is considerable...women are just as likely as the men in my office to join the bracket pool. I don't know what men you hang around, but I don't know any men that beat women. But then again, i'm sure you bring out hte worst in men

why would a man abuse his wife or girlfreind because his team lost? she had nothing to do with his team losing, never heard of this in the world of sports, what i have read is abuse from a man or a women to a man is because of three thing's and that's not wanting to share money, both are an alcoholic, and refusal of sex from the man or refusal of sex from the women. what's your reply on that anna?

Blaming sports for domestic violence is just plain silly
Try personal respaonsibility. We can't blame all shortcomings on someone else.

What a load of crap. First I doubt any superbowl wives were ever in Binghamton. Anna was probably watching Oprah. Second, domestic violence is rampant everywhere and unless you can provide specific studies that show a correlation between occupation and violence then I say you're full of crap.

I note I have read a few articles on work place stress and spouse abuse and it seems that those in authority (police, military personel, etc) have higher instances of spouse abuse due to work related stressors. The need to be dominant in the work place seems to carry through to their personal lives.

When Anna left New York we lost a true advocate against domestic violence. This is for her.

With as much as you hate men, I find it hard to believe you are married and have children.

I urge all women to call domestic violence limes early to make a pre-report in case of any abuse.
