David Campagn For Mayor is giving up early.
The candidate was a dud.
Overwhelmingly support for Rennia is now apparent.
Landslide victory for Dems.

What a curiously ignorant post ......

the David for Mayor camp understands that the miracle they hoped for did not occur.
The big Mo now favors Rennia. Rich is looking to bow-out gracefully. It is over.
There will be no big push. Just a retrench and zeroing out of expenses. The pri,art battle took IA heavy toll. David ran out of energy, support and money. Just how big the loss will be. Some are saying high double digits.

I think you have that the other way around. The candidate that attacks at the end of a campaign is the one that is always behind. Add to that the desperate endorsements from cuomo, gillibrand, schumer and lupardo and you see how desperate the dems are. Sorry kids its over for Team Rennia. Attack all you want it usually backfires. Lets not forget Rennia already comes off as a cold and uncharasmatic person. The negative attacks only seal her fate.

That's an interesting conclusion you've come to there...

What I find curious is that I look at a site such as BCVoice and see that there are almost a dozen negative threads about Rennia that have been created and pinned over the past week... and no such antics by Rennia's supporters...

So by your logic that seems to indicate... what again ?

It indicates that BCVoice is letting voters know the truth.
Actually my question was rhetorical...

That is to say that everyone can plainly see that the individual I was replying to - using their standard and conclusion - was admitting that Rennia's opponents were the ones behind and so had to resort to things such as spamming local forums with anti-Rennia comments and threads...

Btw your choice of "name" up there... again using the prior commenter's conclusions... indicates the same...

Any further questions ?

If Slick Dick David wins we can expect Binghamton to slide back into the trash that was the Bucci years....

For some Rich David said he and Bucci left Binghamton in great fiscal shape. He must be hoping that Binghamton voters have amnesia.

Rich David on 'Brain Drain' and Past Performance as Deputy Mayor

7/25/2013 (Updated 7/26/2013 1:28:04 AM)

In Binghamton, Republican mayoral candidate Rich David is responding to an opponent's charges that he was part of a past administration that left the city in questionable financial shape:

At a fundraiser Friday night at the Ross Park Zoo, David first had a retort to fellow Republican mayoral candidate Ed Hickey's statements that the next mayor of Binghamton has to do something about the brain drain from the city:

"As a business owner myself, I employ many young professionals on a full and part-time basis. So I think while other individuals are out there talking about what the issue is, I'm out there actually dealing with it and providing opportunities for young people to stay in the community."

And David flatly denies Ed Hickey's charge that current Mayor Matt Ryan-- a Democrat-- has left the city on a firmer financial footing than did the Bucci/David administration:

"The city was left in solid financial shape and the problems that the city has been encountering really only emerged in the last few years. So, unfortunately my opponent doesn't let the facts get in the way of the story he wants to tell," said David.

David served as deputy mayor in the Bucci Administration.

Hickey's criticism of David focused on a recent audit showing Binghamton with a more than six million dollar surplus at the end of 2011, compared to little more than 200-thousand dollars in 2005, toward the beginning of Ryan's first term.
