Don't get a big head, Palazzo. You now have to actually do some work.. in congress, that is... you've done enough for your party now do something for your consituents.

He's a joke. The shipyard had 40k jobs about 25 years ago. Now they have 9k & you have to know somebody or be some kind of specialist with a special niche to get on out there. I've tried getting out there @ least 3 or 4 times in the past decade. Nothing. Its bone dry.

I passed the tests & was told "if we had more work you would have been hired."

The ppl who know the supervisors or the union bosses get the work & the rest of the ppl pound sand. Its the same way @ the various casinos. You get on by knowing the right guy or woman.

Palazzo isn't going to do anything. I generally don't like Republican politicians but I can tolerate them when they're like Trent Lott or Thad Cochran & really bring home the bacon. But when they're like this guy & cares more about the tea party than about his constituents -- yeah, I hope Gene(who basically is a Republican) comes back & beats him next time but I think Gene is retired. He's over 60 & collects his pension. Our loss.

So, you feel like our congressmen are supposed to vote for more war so we can have more jobs in the military industrial complex? If Palazzo brings more jobs to Ingalls, he would have to vote for more war... there is no point in building war machines if you don't plan to have more wars. Perhaps it is time for Ingalls to branch out a bit... perhaps upscale yachts and the like.
