River water sought for Billerica power plant

The developer of a power plant proposed for North Billerica wants to purchase 40 million gallons of water from the Concord River each year to control pollution and cool the plant's turbines.

Was this water usage outlined when the project was first proposed? Thats a lot of water from a little river. has the environmental impact been researched?

This just flush well. The polluter gets take the town's water and leave residents with less powerful toilets and showerheads. What kind of deal is that? A raw deal.

More water from the river in the midst of a water ban. . and what about the potential for pollution. . .that is a clear and present danger if we let this plant be built.
