My Mom also died of lung cancer 5 yrs ago she was 56. No matter how hard she fought it got her in the end. My Mom's brother was diagnosed 1 yr prior to my Mom but had his lung removed and was cancer free.He did die 1 yr after Mom with complications from COPD. I like Lisa researched alot and also learned that lung cancer kills more people than breast, prostate and ovarian. What a great thing you are doing Lisa to raise money for this...God Bless!

It is troubling that events to "stomp out cancer" and similar are so glaringly arbitrary. They rarely, if ever, publicize, warn about, condemn, or advise alternatives to Industrial Carcinogens.

We hear a lot about "smoking" (people's behavior) but nothing about the many cancer-causing pesticide residues in most (not all) cigarettes. We hear nothing about the dioxin-creating chlorine contaminants of typical (not all) cigarettes...dioxin being probably the worst human carcinogen on the planet. And we hear nothing about the cancer-causing levels of radiation in typical cigarettes from certain phosphate fertilizers that government officials STILL permit, without requiring a warning, in typical cigarettes.

We don't even know anything yet about what cancer risks are presented by use of plain, un-contaminated tobacco. To blame tobacco for the effects of such multi-adulterant-contaminated products is far, far off target. To do that is to protect the perpetrators of the mass, virtually-secret poisoning.

And, please note how many "cancer cure" and "anti smoking" organizations are part and parcel of the chlorine cartels...pharmaceuticals especially, and radiation interests (radiology, etc.). Their job is to distract from their complicity in the plagues of cancer, and to evade significant PR damage and liabilities.

So, to blame "smoking" for the problems is to blame the unwitting, unprotected, insufficiently-warned victims. To blame tobacco is to scapegoat Mother Nature or to say that the inevitable diseases are "acts of God", a common corporate dodge for all sort of crimes and atrocities.

They can send a man to the moon in the 60's and satellites discovering new planets. But where is the cure for this type of cancer and all others/ My own father died of lung cancer, within a month, he had passed. A horrible disease, to see one you love, swiftly taken away. My prayers and strength go forth for the family. Also remember your mother by enjoying something she loved to do. I support the American lung association and pray for a cure. PEACE~

WHAT A FREAKIN'comment to make!!! This is a great cause to help find a cure, so that loved ones may not succumb to this terrible disease. Get a grip-- go to a cancer ward and view patients in their state. Then I am sure you will retrack your comment.

Obviously you have not watched someone be delivered the news by a Dr saying You have Cancer! Right at that moment that persons life is changed forever. The Chemo treatments alone break them down and wondering everyday am I going to beat this?? Have you read the deaths in the paper lately and noticed how many people young and old who have died of cancer?? My friend all I can say to you is I sure as hell hope that this news you never hear for yourself or anyone you love because if you do I can bet that you will never ever say "New way to make money" ever again. This money benifits Donna's family by hopefully one day finding a cure for this nasty disease that took her from her family and will prevent it to happening to another family.
