Maybe I will send an IOU to my creditors with a note letting them know that's all I can do until June 2010 when the (3) a month furlough program ends!!!

It seems like State Employee operates much like the State of California, totally unprepared for a rainy day AND expecting others to deal with his or her lack of planning and foresight!

A 15% cut in pay would have the same affect on quote "Regular Citizens" as it does State Employees.

Except they would not vociferously whine about it. You do not hear the millions of Americans whining about their sacrafices nearly as frequently as those sucking from the public trough.

You guys are living on soft clouds up there. Private sector employee does not complain because they know nobody will really hear them. We are used to be laid off, we understand when our employer describes the hardships we all get through at the meetings, we agree with changes. We take ownership pride into the company as would be our own. We treat our customers, vendors, partners with most care as we want to up our reputation, not only the salaries.

I was laid off after 15 years of conscious, dedicated work. I suffered as if I was losing my family, home, life. I picked myself up and convinced myself I am better than sit and sob. I found another job after few months of hard work at searching. It is not the same job, the pay is 15% less, but is a job. Eventually I will be able to go back to my original job if there will still be in business.

We all lost jobs in the private sector, we all have had our pension funds partially or totally lost. But we are not sobbing and whinning like the people in public sector. Because we never got the perks you guys get. For you would be traumatic to transit from public to private, because to be in private sector it takes guts, skills, and desire to work really hard.

Would be funny to hear that public sector generates revenue that benefits the private sector. Can't wait for my revenue check from them: "With gratitude from the California state for your dedicated contribution to the economy of our state, Kate here is a $ xxxx.xx for you. " oh my!

OK, how do you produce revenue? Do you sell something, or tax or collect fees from individuals and business? I suspect you are some kind of blood sucking agency who fees the life out of the common man or woman and business in this state. Nice try, but the government is a consumer of taxpayer money, directly or indirectly.

The revenue is generated from sales as a result of a federally mandated program. If you don't like CA Govt. or Fed Govt. for that matter, then move!! As I stated previously...I pay taxes too!! I'm beginning to wonder if you do???

So, because we do not agree, State Employee, I should move? I do not think I want to do that. And, I pay plenty of taxes, both state and federal. So, please end the mystery, what do you sell?

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Cancer

If you thought yesterday was fraught with tension the temperature rises a few notches again today, as Mars turns retro in your house of finances and values. What's eating you? Maybe you're annoyed because your spare time is being eroded by duties that are weighing heavily on your shoulders. You might also be miffed by the flippant attitude of a certain person who you think should be taking life a lot more seriously. Calm down or you'll blow a gasket.
