I'm looking for some tips regarding the whereabouts of those missing sequined shoes from "The Wizard of Oz." I currently run a website about and also make replicas of the shoes. It's more of an interest for info for my website than this is to try and recover them, as I doubt that would happen very easily.
I've talked to a few people who gave some tips and Deer River seems the best place to look for any additional information. I'm not from the area, so even just hearing rumors would be interesting to me.

The festival is starting today at the Judy Garland Museum. I was told by an employee that the Itasca Sheriff department was given a tip that the ruby slippers were at the bottom of Tioga Pit. So, today to kick of the festival, there was suppose to be some divers coming in to that pit lake. Not sure if it is a legit tip, or just some publicity act.
