They are treated like animals instead of humans. State amd federal prisoners have more freedom and rights than in Duffield. It is a money racket place....small food protions for a child, pay for everything twice the price it should be. One hour outside a week....down right cruel. Everything hush hush just like poor andrea getting killed there last week there.Think your loved one is safe in duffield...better think again.

Good sounds like how a jail is supposed to be, anything but a vacation. Hopefully it will give some of these sorry asses somethin to fear and start doin right and turn their life around to be a productive citizen. I think inmates should have no rights or priviliges while incarcerated bread and water would be plenty of nourishment, after all look how some of our soldiers survived during some of our past conflicts. And as far as heating, and cooling ha ha we got men and women protecting our rights right now in 110* to 120* degree weather so i say save our tax money and lets remember the inmates choose to do whatever they do to get put in jail or prison.

Some people are trying to scream foul play b/c they can't accept the fact she would do something like that...but she killed herself, plain and simple.

well, personally i cant believe she would. i didnt know her very long but from what i did know of her she seemed like a normal, happy girl. i mean, obviously she had her problems. dont we all? its just a little odd to me. did this happen while she was in jail? i have so many questions but dont know who to ask. i feel low for even asking on this forum but my curiosity does tend to get the better of me. i just feel awful for her family. in the short time she and i were friends we got to be close and i am sincerely hurt by this.

To Truth- so who made you judge and jury??? Wait until you have a loved one in your life there, but I am sure that would not happen, you are obviously so above that as I am sure is anybody in your righteous life...but alot of folks down there are good people with bad habits and as they come off of the drugs, they are the same good people they were before, they are not animals and I hope nobody in your life ever has to live on "bread and water" while in the USA.. I have relatives in the military as well, but why should you wish that on
our citizens, even if in jail, be treaed as animals. Isn't this what our soldiers are fighting against???

I do have some family in jail, just hope that their experience their is what everything prison was intended to be, not first class medical treatmeant at no cost to them, not to be a drain on the economy and our hard earned tax dollars, the list goes on and on its a bunch of bull our jails and prisons offer a better life for a lot of inmates than their previous life on the outside, look at the cost of keeping an inmate up in the commonwealth the last fig i heard it was around 35,000 a year thats just including room and board not medical, dental,or food hell i believe its time to start giving people something to fear and the crime rate on all levels will go down a considerable amount, i mean 3 hots and a cot, a place thats cool in the summer time and warm in the winter time no wonder their is over an 80% return rate. And hell no thats not why myself and my fellow brothers in arms fought for thats what we fight against i would like to know how much more tax money would be put in pocket every year if the inmate population were cut in half in the united states

Andrea Wade Talbott. She died on May 25th. I'd like to know the real story about what happened to her. Who was her cell mate?

I lost me entire world when my love committed suicide so my heart breaks for her family. People should really show some respect and lay off. I was taught not to speak on the dead when they are gone let em go. She may have done wrong but no one deserves to die alone in a shit hole like duffield. As for her cell mate I'd say she's on down the road by now and papers will get fucked and no one will know. Answer this oh duffield staff why did u find her @ 5:30 and not bring her out then? I know the rounds made mine several thousand times. The paper says she died at LPH not true she never drew a breath outside those walls. At least VERY LEAST 2 people a years commit suicide countless others killed but no one with money or pull has passed til now. Maybe her death won't be in vain. God bless the wade family in their time of need. As for the guards at SWVRJA may god show the mercy you show your inmates how ever the chips may fall.

Were you there when it happened? You said they "the rounds made mine several thousand times" I was just wondering where your information is coming from, because the whole thing seemed shady to me from the jump

I talked to someone who works at the jail, and she did hang herself. She was facing more upcoming charges as well as what she was in there for.

Everything to do with that place is shady. If people only knew. I can't speak on any more for personal reasons. Maybe I've helped maybe I shouldn't have said a word but this on here, you may agree, should stop about her directly. Just flat out duffield is a corrupt place and trust me the guards can make ya or break ya. Its up to them how you survive or if you survive. Got some family or a friend you can visit? Go ask an insider about it.

Mad rumors will always come about and if a currently employed guard speaks on it they will lose their job. This guard also maybe lying and covering up asses. As I said before ask an inmate.

The fact is, no inmate will ever be pronounced dead inside any jail/prison walls. It's a rule. Everyone needs to accept the fact that she hung herself and there's no huge conspiracy to cover up her death. Jail is not meant to be a nice place so stop whining abiut how they're treated. You should be complaining to them for breaking the law and putting you through the heartache of them being there. That's why people continue to break the law and go to jail...b/c people never want to blame them, only the law. Every jail is corrupt, every police department is corrupt...but guess what, 99% of inmates are corrupt too. People just need to start facing facts and taking responsibility.

They have to be pronounced by a doctor or a hospice nurse. That's why often in the obits it will say they died at the hospital, when they were actually dead long before they ever got there.
