An older woman went to the hospital with bad kidney pains. She had taken her teenager and a smaller child with her. After sitting for five hours they all began falling asleep. At time of being released police show up to the room like they're ready to draw their guns on them. When the woman asked what's wrong, they said a nurse and security c guard called and said the lady looked under the influence and couldn't drive. The patient passed drug screens, took no meds from hospital and had a bad eye infection that had been treated by another dr. The lady wasn't given a chance to speak, police scare er kids to death. Threatened up arrest her take her kids and car. And security guard cursed her in front of the children. She had to call family after midnight to pick them up. And dss was called and the workers thought the situation was ridiculous and told the lady the proper ppl to contact. If you can make it to norton or elsewhere, do so. This isn't the first case the higher ppl reported has happened that was uncalled for. This is a ridiculous situation.

Lulu, I don't know you, but if you are talking about the incident at LPH Monday night after Midnight, you are either a liar or you are retelling a lie. I was there last night with my child. the older woman was upset that the doctor would not run the tests that she thought needed to be run and became upset and verbally agressive as she thought she knew more than the doctor and nurses there. We heard her screaming at them all the way at the end of the row and I don't blame them for calling security and the only cussing that was done was by her and her family members. You should make certain you get your facts straight before you get on here and slander people. I was there and will be glad to testify in court as to what went on, as the staff having to deal with that family delayed treatment for my child and others who were genuinely ill.

the only reason I would beware of them is for the bill for almost four hundred bucks for the hour and half I spent there. Their care is excellent and the people are completely professional.

Her kidney pain wasn't ER worthy if she was able to fall asleep through it.

I call BS on it all.

Her kidney pain wasn't ER worthy, if she was able to fall asleep through it. People need to stop using the ER as their primary care physician. They only do it because the odds of getting narcotics are higher at an ER.

I call BS on this one.

I was there and the woman could hardly walk let alone talk to the cops when they got there. She did however tell Flanary that the police ruined her life because she was arrested for selling drugs. Now how is that the police officers fault? Then she almost goes to jail for arguing with the cops and security. I guess they were to blame for that too! WOW!

No. Don't know about that one. They should've seen your sick child for sure. But, you could've just asked instead of saying ppl are liars.

No. I don't think they'll give you medicine like that at an er. But if you need help after drs hours, you have no choice but to go,huh?

No. You're wrong. The patient was losing alot of blood and went there to get help and find out what's wrong. And the drs were angry over how their patient was treated and had nothing to do with the incident. And who can walk right if you're losing blood and in pain? You wasn't nosey enough to find all of that out, were you?it started over a jealous stupid nurse. Some care in that place.

Oh and by the way,she had to have surgery at another hospital. Wonder what they would've done if the patient died at LPh? Covered it up of course.

I doubt she had surgery at another hospital and I'm quite sure you are the person who started this topic. Tell Flanary or Clint I said hello the next time they happen to pay you a visit because you are such a stand up citizen of Wise County and please try not to endanger yourself, kids or any other innocent driver when you decide to drive D.U.I.D. Big brother and sister are watching!

Nobody has much respect for law anymore. It's a shame. Our children should be able to look up to them as a hero that can protect them. Not today. They try and cover their mistakes by hurting others. And stab each other in the back just as bad as topix. But now it's over flowing with corruption. We need some real good men and women to step up that are true in their hearts and really care to take over. I hope to see it happen soon.

Hey! I was in the room next to these people. And it was the curtain rooms. We could hear everything that happened and you're right.the er was taking forever & we were there before that lady.she was bent over in pain when she walked by& we heard what said.she told them she had been getting sicker and couldn't sleep good.the nurse turned the lights off so they could rest & it was late and people was waiting for mote then 6 hours.when the cops came we heard them saying mean things to her & they cut her off when she was trying to tell them what was wrong.that lady cop was saying bad things in front of those kids & that fat ugly security man screamed at her.he also yelled at another woman across from us because she was laying in bed moaning in pain and she yelled oh shit & he screamed at her to shut up.in the end the poor woman had to carry her little boy out without help because he was asleep.if she wasn't able to drive then why would they let her carry him?if it was me I would sue them.our dr was young and very nice but the nurses were rude and hateful.I hope the lady got better, she seemed like a nice person with sweet kids.so there's the truth to that story.my husband was also misdiagnosed.

I know someone who went there with a legitimate issue which later required surgery. She was told it was all in her head...no testing....and that all they could was provide her with a psych consult......for a true physical problem.
