Yes, Health Care the talk was she died from an overdose. At least Dr. Ford had his medicine locked in a safe in his office. Will Dr. Nida have to go before the medical board too or will his problems be hid? Guess it all depends on who you are or who you know!!!

What are you people thinking?! These so called "doctors" are killing people! Drug addicts and dealers go to these doctors to get their drugs then turn around and sell them to our young people who we then read about being found dead from an overdose! How can anyone support a "doctor" such as this?!

It is my understanding that patients are tested to see if the prescribed drugs show up in their blood or urine. If not, then it's going somewhere. It is really upsetting to learn that at least 4 docs in our area are in hot water and under investigation? Meth, designer smokes, bath salts, and every pain med available makes me afraid to step out of the house!

Name one person who it has proven "ODed" on anything Dr. Ford prescribed.

the medical board has him listed as a habitual user of darvocet since 1983.
the medical board found him guilty of taking meds back from patients then handing them out.

the only thing that goes on after midnight is sex and drugs.

funny...darvocet as most know, is the weakest of all the opiates, if it is true that he's such "a user" if he was "an addict" he would have used something else stronger than that....believe it or not, there are legitamate medical conditions for which opiates are prescribed, it sounds like he was taking the weakest, lowest dose for pain relief, which is not what a "habitual user" would have done as their body requires more and more to survive. Also, if he was a true "habitual" user the medical board would not be giving 90 days to comply with their requests.

What is even scarier is that right now there are drugs that are in the process of being imported to this country that are more addictive and dangerous than Meth and heroin. It is legal because there are not laws on the books to stop their importation because they are "new" and "natural" so they haven't been listed on the DEA schedules as yet, and many will have to die before they are. Stupid, ignorant people see that they are "natural" and equate that with being "safe" when nothing could be farther from the truth. Arsenic and hemlock are "all natural" but are they safe? I don't understand how people can be so stupid as to think just because something grows in the wild that it is "safe" and I think the vultures that market them as safe and destroy people should be lined up against a wall and shot. There are substances that will soon be imported in this country that in the next 3 to 5 years so many people will die and there will be a new outcry, but it will be too late then because so many people will be physically dependent on these substances. I would name them but then some jackass would read this and go out looking to buy these things over the internet. Some of it is just now being imported to places like CA and TX, but wait, it will be everywhere soon, and it makes Meth look tame. People need to get their heads out of their butts and stip looking to a plant or pill to "cure" their problems.

by the way doc boggs, you must be a pretty staid, boring conservative if you think that the only thing going on "after midnight" is "sex and drugs"...personally my work shift ends about Midnight, so I like to get my freak on about sunrise to mid-morning, and don't find the need to "enhance" anything with drugs...I think with people's work schedules being what they are that it was pretty amazing to find a doctor that was actually open when people might be getting off work from their day job so that they wouldn't have to miss a day of work to go to the doctor.

drug seekers don't want darvocette! they won't take a prescription for it. They are all allergic to it just like ibupropen, toradol, and ultram Just ask anyone who has ever worked in a Dr. office or hospital.

Okay, just asking, go look at my post above the one of mine you quoted and you will see that I basically said the same thing. The quote of mine you used was in response to a different comment by another poster about drugs in the area.

I personally can't see him being an addict, if he was, he would have used somethign stronger than darvocet, if he was addicted he would have needed larger amounts of opiates than what darvocet supplies.

I just love it when I take up for someone, and someone else taking up for that person cannot understand what I am saying so they think I am attacking the person i am defending.

It's sad. Those of you that do not take the time to slowly read and then try to comprehend what you are reading before you comment are not exactly a shining endorsement of the educational opportunities found in this area.

The only thing i am gonna say about dr ford and this is when i first moved here i went to the er and dr ford was the doc. I didnt have an established doc but had already been through pain management, and mulitple mri's on my back which does show multiple minor things wrong. Dr ford refused to prescribe anything including muscle relaxers choosing to just tell me to establish a regular doc and no my appearance does not suggest negative thoughts.

Since that time i have had more nri's, xrays, scans, spinal tap and more pain management. As i said some general minor issues wrong that i am told "should not be the cause of the amount of pain you are in". Is that not subjective? I am a grad student at this point well educated and appear such most of the time. I read my chart at my ob's office that said "drug seeking behavior due to client on cell phone when leaves office". Wtf? I was giving ny family an update on what wld eventually be a major surgery! I know people that cut themselves, pick scabs open, tear open detached limb wounds and use their kids as ways to get narcotics but i am turned down and labeled. So even though idk what to think of this dr ford crap, i am pissed that so many docs in this area are in trouble for prescribing while i hurt:(

I personally have NEVER been a patient of Dr. Fords. I have not even been prescribed any pain medication in years, not even for a dental extraction last year of a wisdom tooth, really tylenol and some ice works wonders. The people that I know who were patients of his have all been elderly as in 75+ years of age. I just don't like to see people talked about.

@transplant, I am sorry that you are in so much pain...have you considered acupuncture, I know several people with intractable pain that acupuncture has helped both to relieve their pain and improve their range of motion. Also, you may want to ask your doctor about prescribing a tens unit, it can help myofascial pain in the back that does not respond to medication. Both the tens unit and acupuncture are drug free.
