Power Plant Opposition

Two environmental groups have asked South Dakota regulators to reject construction of a second coal-fired power plant at Big Stone City. via KSFY-TV Sioux Falls

According to the Center for Disease Control, about 30,000 people die each year from emmissions, half of which are cause by coal plants. There are about 600 coal plants, so a coal plant kills someone every two weeks, and makes hundreds more sick. Big
Stone City is directly under the smoke cloud, although most of it does go about 20 miles southeast.

I live 5 miles from a coal plan. I know people who worked in the plant. I say your numbers are bogus. What is your source for starters?
