This is sad stuff posted here. Anytime humans put death and illness on another; something is definitely wrong. Please, please be careful what you speak on someone's else's life. You don't when you will go to the doctor and get diagnosed with something you don't want. People are destroying others lives with drugs and guns and a dollar can bring so much hatred. Why is so much concern and harsh feelings?

I'll wager he's going to be involved in the corruption investigation against Willie. And with his cooperation, he'll be released early.

Use one corrupt politician to snag another.

With all the negative comments made here about OUR city and Mr. John Ford, one would think that most of y'all would be packin' up to leave. Memphis will be no better place as long as negative comments and ax-grinding is as rampant as it is. Geez, give yourselves a break and stop wasting so much negative energy on things that you really do not understand. It has already been reported that most Memphis natives are seriously stupid, so what who make a reasonably well-educated person in Memphis would think otherwise of you when you make such ignorant statements in this comment section? It just goes to show what is important to you. As for Mr. Ford, many people still admire and respect the man for the many accomplishments he made that helped so many people in this state. Yeah, he may have been proved to have been a criminal in some respect but that does not diminish his record. I hope his time in jail will be shortened and he can come home to the family and maybe...just maybe run for and attain office again. Afterall, this is Memphis. Choke on that!
for you to even refer to this man as "Mr." shows your ignorance to the real picture. And if you're a supporter, then that shows the color of you skin. This man is as crooked as they come & deserves NO serenity such as seeing & being close to family.

TRANSFERS MUST BE CONDUCTED IN SUCH MANNER FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL INVOVLED. THATS THE SYSTEM. EVEN IF A PERSON IS RETURNING TO COURT THE TRANSFER IS TO BE DONE IN A MANNER SO IT WOULD NOT BE A BREACH OF SECURITY.
As for you using a word such as 'breach of security' tells me that you've had some experience of loved ones being incarcerated. Anyone in jail should loose all joy of anything. The public needs to know where this gun toting inbred is at every moment of the rest of his life!

There they go again. The dam Fords getting their way with anything they want. Just makes me sick to my stomach. but hey. that is why i moved out of Memphis because of the Fords and then Herenton. By the way does Willie still have body guards and if so are the tax payers paying for it? UM! Wonder if that will get anywhere.

this is a Federal Prison he is now a guest of.
and it is a Medium security facility. Having many family members employed by the Justice Department, which oversees the prison system, i can assure you Mr. Ford is not 'kickin it wit his homies', relaxing, awaitng his release date.

I am puzzled here... How can people hate someone they don't know? Are you angry at the drug dealers who have ruined so many lives with drugs? Family members go through crisis everyday because their loved one has stolen/taken something from them so that they can support their drug habits. Many families have been destroyed because of drugs. Are you angry at the murderers who have taken inocent lives: robbery, drive-by shootings, home invasions or for no reason at all? People should get mad at something worth getting mad about. A dollar bill with a dead President on it is worthless. That little money that was said that Mr. Ford took is nothing compared to what some of these other people have taken and some are still taking as I reply to this sick posting. People have taken millions from people; I don't here you talk about that....

"HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSE TO HOME SINCE INCARCERATION. HE HAVE FAMILY, FRIENDS , AND SUPPORTERS."

Why?

I have a family friend that is in prison for the next ten years. He's been incarcerated for eighteen months and has been moved six times! None of his transfers have brought him anywhere near family and friends. The closest he ever came to Memphis was a prison more than six hundred miles away!

He's begged and pleaded to be moved closer to Memphis, but have his requests been granted. NO!

What's good enough for Ford should be good enough for the other inmates too. He is NO better than anyone else there. He doesn't deserve "special consideration." He's an inmate, NOT a guest at a Club Med.

Regardless of how he is treated, he doesn't have the freedom to come and go as he pleases, prison is prison. There is nothing glamarous about prison. Wakw up people....
