It's the same old same old Memphis. Maybe I ought to change my name to FORD. They seem to bet all the perks.

I was not his fan either but be careful of having negative thoughts regarding life and death.

Where ever he is I hope he spends the rest of his corruption filled life there and that this will send a message to all other politicians that we the people are fed up with their dishonesty a lack of morals and values.

John Ford in the Federal pen in Memphis. That means he's only about 12-14 miles from his five hundred, fifty thousand dollar house he lived in in Collierville. Boy, I bet that hurts. Serves him right!!!!!

Unrelaible sources have confirmed that John's move will ensure Ford backing of Cohen over WH or other candidates, and that John will be a proscecution witness before a new grand jury.

Why can't they ship him to NY? He has relatives (two, but he only claims one) there. Both could use his support and counsel in their campaigns and tax avoidance schemes.

No mystery here. The Ford Political machine still holds iron fist rule in Memphis. Nothing has changed since Boss Crump except the name.

He'll be out in no time and running for office again. This time Mayor of Memphis, or Shelby county.

So what if the man has been transfered closer to home, whoppy doo, just get over it. I can't beleive the things people try to make news out of. Get a freaking life period and I am not a Ford fan at all.

It appears John will immediately be enjoying the country club life here in Memphis. I'm not buying it, Cohen would sell his soul to the devil to ensure a victory over WWH and continue nourishing himself at the government trough.

The key is that he is still in custody - in prison. What time do they turn out the lights, what time do you have to get up, when are the meals served, who is your roomate? Your still in the big house!

John Ford has rights as any federal prisoner. What's the big deal? Prison is prison.

This thread is another example of stagnant small town thinking which has kept this city 30 years in the rear of other southern metropolitan cities today including Nashville and now even Birmingham. If I had a major corporation, I wouldn't move here either. It seems people love misery in this area, especially the misery of others.

Grow beyond this and demand better news. This is mere gossip. There is no wrong doing in transferring a federal prisoner.

They do it all the time for various reasons including court proceedings.
