New Jewel In Elburn

We only use the new Jewel the same way we used
the old Anderson's grocery store. For emergencies
only. Although Anderson's prices were fair, they
did not have the room for extended variety. Jewel
on the other hand has terrible unfriendly prices.
It still pays three times over even with gas prices to shop at Meijer.
And you don't have to worry about getting killed
going grocery shopping because of an unsafe intersection.

The village position is that they have to wait to
a cetain amount of people have been killed before
they can perform one of their overpriced studies.

I feel the same way about Reams Meat Market. They
have gouged the residents in Elburn for years. They did so because the grocery store did not have
meat and you had to drive to Randall road to get some. Even though Jewel is no bargain, at least
their meat prices are still far more reasonable
than Ream ever were. I hope they put away all that
money they have been stealing from folks, because
their days are numbered.

I'd drive 50 miles if I had to to get the Packer Brats! They are out of this world!

Jewel prices are high and unfriendly. The store
is dark and not very inviting. Someone should
also teach the cashiers to say thank you instead
of " There you Go".
