Mr. President: Heroes Don’t Spike the Football
President Obama has spiked the Bin Laden Football so hard that Navy SEALS, retired and active duty, are hammering him over his zealous efforts to take credit for their handiwork.
In response to President Obama hiding behind our troops and taking credit for their actions – we’ve released our newest ad entitled CREDIT.
The ad tells a simple but powerful truth: Our service members sacrifice greatly to protect this nation and deserve the credit for keeping America safe, secure and strong.

SEALs slam Obama for using them as 'ammunition' in bid to take credit for bin Laden killing during election campaign
Serving and former US Navy SEALs have slammed President Barack Obama for taking the credit for killing Osama bin Laden and accused him of using Special Forces operators as ‘ammunition’ for his re-election campaign.

No active Seal Team member, ever, would criticize a sitting president - on the contrary, they will not even reveal their identity and are as loyal as one can be. Navy SEALS Slam Obama Over Campaign Ad
by Frank York on May 2, 2012

Several former and currently serving NAVY SEALS have slammed President Obama for exploiting their killing of Osama bin Laden for political gain in a recent ad.

The ad, entitled “One Chance” puffs Obama’s role in killing Osama and suggests that Mitt Romney would not have had the courage to kill the Islamic terrorist.

Ryan Zinke is a former Commander in the U.S. Navy spent 23 years as a SEAL and led a SEAL Team 6 assault unit. According to Zinke:“The decision was a no brainer. I applaud him for making it but I would not overly pat myself on the back for making the right call.

“I think every president would have done the same. He is justified in saying it was his decision but the preparation, the sacrifice – it was a broader team effort.”

According to Zinke:“The President and his administration are positioning him as a war president using the SEALs as ammunition. It was predictable.” From The Daily Mail:

A serving SEAL Team member said:“Obama wasn’t in the field, at risk, carrying a gun. As president, at every turn he should be thanking the guys who put their lives on the line to do this. He does so in his official speeches because he speechwriters are smart.

“But the more he tries to take the credit for it, the more the ground operators are saying,‘Come on, man!’ It really didn’t matter who was president. At the end of the day, they were going to go.”

Chris Kyle, a former SEAL sniper with 160 confirmed and another 95 unconfirmed kills to his credit, said:‘The operation itself was great and the nation felt immense pride. It was great that we did it.

But bin Laden was just a figurehead. The war on terror continues. Taking him out didn’t really change anything as far as the war on terror is concerned and using it as a political attack is a cheap shot.

In years to come there is going to be information that will come out that Obama was not the man who made the call. He can say he did and the people who really know what happened are inside the Pentagon, are in the military and the military isn’t allowed to speak out against the commander- in-chief so his secret is safe.

Here is what the real Seal commanders had to say: The senior special operations leadership has warmed to Mr. Obama because he has shown he is a risk-taker (as evidenced by his decision to go forward with the bin Laden mission) who has "given them a longer leash" than former President George W. Bush did. "We're tickled s*itless because the guy has approved missions and the use of predator drones to a greater extent than his predecessor."

It is not Seals I question. I question the site claiming that they said this. They link to a story done by Mailonline who mentions unnamed former and currently serving Seals.
First red flag was "unnamed", second red flag was "currently serving".
I have a really hard time believing any active Seal would criticize the President to the press (breaking both the UMCJ laws and Seal tradidtion) and secondly I really have to be suspicious of not naming any of the supposed former Seals. It is not like they would be risking anything.

Veterans for a Strong America is looking for a place to run its hit online video — on television.

The ad praises the quiet heroism of the military personnel who killed Osama bin Laden in May 2011, and portrays President Barack Obama as a glory-hound eager to hog the credit.

With dramatic background images and a banner reading “Heroes don’t seek credit,” the ad shows a catalog of Obama’s statements describing his own responsibility for the mission:“I can report … I directed Leon Panetta … I was briefed … I met repeatedly … At my direction …”

“We’re at a point where we have no choice but to run that ad on TV,” Veterans for a Strong America director Joel Arends told The Daily Caller.

“We have an obligation to start educating and information the rest of America.”

The public’s response “has been incredible … it evoked very powerful feedback” both among veterans and swing-voters, Arends said. The online video attracted 700,000 viewers on Youtube during its first four days, and generated 3,500 emails.

Veterans for a Strong America, he said, does not have support from GOP-affiliated groups.

This proves nothing.

Here are two ... "fake" ... Navy Seals that you can go and look up while you live in your fantasy world:

"…Ryan Zinke, a former Commander in the US Navy who spent 23 years as a SEAL and led a SEAL Team 6 assault unit, said:‘The decision was a no brainer. I applaud him for making it but I would not overly pat myself on the back for making the right call."

"A serving SEAL Team member said:‘Obama wasn’t in the field, at risk, carrying a gun. As president, at every turn he should be thanking the guys who put their lives on the line to do this. He does so in his official speeches because he speechwriters are smart."

"Chris Kyle, a former SEAL sniper with 160 confirmed and another 95 unconfirmed kills to his credit, said:‘The operation itself was great and the nation felt immense pride. It was great that we did it.

‘But bin Laden was just a figurehead. The war on terror continues. Taking him out didn’t really change anything as far as the war on terror is concerned and using it as a political attack is a cheap shot."

*******

"In the wake of a warm conservative reception for a web video trashing the president for “spiking the football” on the anniversary of Osama Bin Laden’s death, the conservative group Veterans for a Strong America plans to gather Navy SEALs and Special Forces operators to criticize the White House during the 2012 campaign.

“We’re looking to [put together] a coalition, to field SEALs and operators that want to come out publicly,” executive director of Veterans for a Strong America, Joel Arends, tells BuzzFeed.“I’ve had a lot of discussions with former SEALs and current SEALs. I’ve been talking to operators in the community. There is palatable discontent.”

The video, which took about ten days to produce, went viral. The ad has had more than 250,000 views on YouTube and he’s received some 4,000 emails. Arends was featured on Fox News channel Thursday morning.

Arends says the group is now looking at airing the advertisement on television in geographic areas with military communities.“Right now we’re going through the process analyzing where we think it would play best,” he says.

“They’re going to have the money” to air the spot, another Republican source told BuzzFeed."
