Mecosta teen pleads guilty in home invasion case

One of five people accused of terrorizing a Mecosta County couple has pleaded guilty to a charge of felony witness intimidation.

I agree with the person who says the parents should do the time too, especially his nasty, worthless, skanky, drunk druggy piece of crap mother. This kid may have been home doing homework if he ever had a home to go to. His parents have not had a home for him in over 7 years. He should not have done what he did but had he had parents who really cared about him he would not have been in that situation. Now mom can cry and carry on like it really bothers her. She is just pissed because he can't get her drugs anymore.

In as much as Mr. Bodo had the least number of charges, I wasn't surprised to see the prosecutor's office would try to strike a deal for his testimony.

To his credit, this young man also seems to understand that he needs to extricate himself from a terrible situation if at all possible.

Of course, with the prosecutor and defendant coming to an agreement that could put Mr. Bodo in prison for six to 15 years, begs for the rational person to assume he is still guilty of something a little more serious than a lack of good judgement.

Agreed, Bean. Also his prison time will most likely be an extra nasty time for him as he will probably be known as a snitch, the lowest of the low in prison society.

Actually, as there is no "Honor amongst Thieves", I don't that as a problem. Jails are chocked full of people who have rolled over on their partners. I assume that Mr. Bodo will serve any time he gets in a minimum security facility. He might only get a year or less in the county jail. Not so for the rest of them.

Hmm...what's strange is that it says "mecosta teen" when he's from Charlotte...and also he wasn't involved in the home invasion, yet it says he plead guilty in it. I don't know if anyone else noticed this or not. Here's the real headline:

Does anyone else notice how much the news screws things up?
