Kenneth Korhorn, 41

SSG Kenneth Eugene Korhorn, 41, of Elgin, IL formerly of Big Rapids, MI , passed away suddenly at Porter County Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack while traveling from Michigan to Illinois.

I was a childhood friend of Ken. We travelled, camped, farmed, played football in college and HS and basically grew up together. He was one of a kind. Please tell me about yourself and how you know Ken and I'd be happy to share my experiences with you. Dave Michael [e-mail]

I am deeply sadened by just hearing this thru web search. I met Ken at Spring Hill camp Many years ago & dated him. I remember going to his home on Thanksgiving to spend with his family. His mother I remember made zucchini bread & would put a thin slice of cheddar cheese on top...I'll never forget!
I still have fond memories of Kenny & his whole family.
My heart & prayer's goes out to them all!

I was a little camper but I remember your name and seeing you at camp.
Did you two hang out up at the back barn on occasion? That memory piece is a little foggy.
Hope you are well. It is a shocker. Big one... but if ya know Kenny he would have loved to see everyone living alive and true.

If it was summer of 1984..Yes, that was me!
I remember our dating year very fondly.(and his friend Dave...I think his name was?)
His family did leave a nice memory of a Happy christian life in my heart/mind. Wonderful people. I also remember being heart broken when he left to college in Montana.
I connected with him via phone 1 time in 1989-90?
Our boys were just born...Trey & my son, Jimmy. Although we were both married, our friendship seemed to be evident. We joked about so much.
I will always have a special memory for Kenny.

I will miss Ken. We went to school together in montana. Im so glad he had the chance to serve our country so bravely before he went to be with his Lord in heaven. I know that gave him a lot of purpose and meaning in his life.
