WBRN (am1460; Big Rapids, Mi) actually PAYS a talk show host who recently said:
"You don't lose weight by exercising!"
Also, this lie:
"EUROPEAN electric car sales dropped this year by 58% to a low of 156 vehicles!"
This statement was heard on WBRN radio; am1460; Big Rapids, Mi.
That figure was just in the UK. Isn't it fun to make mountains out of molehills!
here's the real story:
Obviously, the host's intent was to discourage consumers from buying any electric car by lying about declining sales.
You see, one of the host's sponsors is GM. GM does not make a fully electric car. They will introduce the hybrid electric "Volt" model soon. The "Volt" runs on gasoline and has a battery that will be charged by plugging the car in your home's electric socket- electricity produced by burning coal and natural gas at a power plant.
An effective way to promote GM products is to LIE about the competition. Lying about your sponsor's competion is ILLEGAL. It is illegal for one to promote a sponsor, which increases one's personal wealth- by lying on the airwaves.
It seems that the drop in sales in the UK has to do with government regulation hurdles that need to be resolved. I haven't seen any news articles that say that electric car sales have declined throughout Europe.
Here's two that says electric car sales are increasing worldwide:
And another lie:
"Using wind turbine electric generation, with natural gas electric generation as a backup system-puts out MORE POLLUTION than using natural gas generation alone!"
Oh really! Wind electric generation pollutes more than burning natural gas!
"Green energy means more expensive energy and it means LESS energy! It doesn't mean cleaner energy!"
In other words- wind electric energy isn't cleaner than burning say, coal!
These two LIES obviously promote the natural gas industry over the wind turbine industry.
Did the radio host receive advertising revenue from the natural gas industry or a subsidiary through this fraudulent promotion through use of THE LIE? A lie intended to influence consumers, who might not have the facts, into using natural gas??
There is no question that promoting the natural gas industry in this manner would have a favorable effect in getting ad revenues from the gas industry or a subsidiary!
Did the host receive "under the table" $$$ in this attempt to influence consumers, who don't have the facts, into using natural gas?!
Can anyone spell "SWINDLE" ?
This is just another example of the appearance of impropriety in the talk show business that demands a criminal investigation.
I guess WBRN thinks they are performing a public service by constantly broadcasting lies on their station.
