When does the Osceola Inn plan to open?
Have they noticed The Nestle Inn, Chuck Wagon, Seven Slot Grille, Pm Catering, Downtown Deli, Dairy depot, Pizza Hut, Subway, Mc Donalds, Burger King, and Pompeii Located in this small town. They are all really good places to dine. Some of these restaurants Such as Chuck Wagon, Down town Deli, Seven Slot Grille, and the nestle Inn are family owned and operated. I hope this doesnt hurt there business.

I didn't know they were gonna reopen. I think Brothers is the only place that would be hurt by it....but who knows. The Inn has been closed for a while and people have gotten used to not having it so I don't think anybody is gonna go there now.

Oh come on, it's a historical landmark. Last I heard there had been a huge water leak and the entire building was in jeopardy. Would you rather lose the entire building?

my husband and I were interested in the Inn. I did some investigating and found Mr. Flaska is $30,000 behind in property taxes, and has an $800 water bill. In fine print, it states that the buyer is responsible for back tax and utilities. My husband and I went to open house on 2/13/2011 and seems like alot of damage has been done due to structural problems. I don't believe I would take the building even if it was given to me. Its a nightmare and needs TOTAL renovation.
I even looked into historical grants but from what I understand it takes years. The pictures Williams & William Realestate placed on line are the best pictures on the Hotel. They had several rooms locked so you couldnt see the condition. Water damaged ceilings and lots of buckets. Lath and plaster, Lead based Paint, and I believe if you purchase it you will need to have an elevator installed to bring it up to code.

If you decide to bid, Good Luck.

I hope you all go to Federal prison.
Knock knock. It's the FBI.

Too bad criminals feel the need to smudge the name of good people. As if you have nothing better to do with your time. You live a life of delusions thinking everyone is crooked as you are. Some people don't have to live their lives in shame because good people really do exist. You can hate, blame, and cry all you want because you don't have what others have. Maybe if you would focus more on yourself and not the success of others, you would be successful too. You can say all the negative things you want about Christy but I think the minute you put Tommy says hi, you shot any credibility you may have had. Birds of a feather flock together. Good luck and as I said before, Grow Up!

yeah it would take someone like you living in a camper at big star corners to know about insurance fraud, seeing how you were convicted. Tommy won't even be friends with you LOL!!!
On a different note: a broke pipe flooded the basement of the Inn , which would create a breading ground for mold. I would have to guess it would need completely gutted down to the framing and treated. which would cost more than it is worth. Just rip it down and let Yoplait have it already.

Birds of a feather?

I don't hang out with, or associate in any way, shape, or form WITH YOUR EX-BOYFRIEND TOMMY -- father of, probably, at least two of your kids?(...is this the big, wide-ass pot attempting to call the kettle black).

And I also don't hang out with Corey, the father of your youngest....

I do know the person whom you're referring to, who can bust you for all of your insurance scams and the way that you ripped off the lonely well driller for the tune of $150,000... and then turned him over to your mother so that she could continue to bleed him dry at the casinos...

I'm not sure if he lives where you say he does, but I can guarantee you that he has more money than you and he didn't steal any of his.:)

I have to give you credit though, you were intelligent enough to follow your mother's advice--while you were afraid of going to prison over your scams-- to search on the dating sites for a lawyer...(or the son of a lawyer, in this case) and then marry him asap.

It's all about money with with you, so why not marry into a law family--even if you can't stand the guy--just to save a few hundred dollars in future legal fees.

This post started out asking about the Osceola Inn reopening and in no way has anything to do with the petty arguing that continues and that we're bored to death with. Start another post elsewhere and let us get back to the topic of discussion!

My husband and I did not bid on the Osceola Inn. From what I hear, it did not sell at auction. Not sure what will become of the Historic site.

The Inn is too far gone and Yoplait is too close. It's historical significance is questionable and My idea is to buy up that whole side of the block, tear it down and make a downtown park out of it incorporating the depot as the focal point. Hell, with all the money spent on the depot boondoggle, why not finish the job and make a unique attraction out of it. Any other REAL ideas out there?

just give it to Yoplait at a good price so they can use the space and create some more jobs, thats what we really need isn't it. Why hold back the one company that is willing to stay and is thriving. Making a park would just be an excuse to suck even more mohey out of the locals. I mean common you don't really think they spent as much money as they claim on that depot do you. Michigan has been bled dry but there are just as many politicians as before, but no cookies left in the jar. Time's are hard even for them but give them a good idea to get money out of us and they will jump at it. And in this day and age almost any idea will do. I dare say things are about to get crazy around here. Type the words michigan is screwed in youtube or yahoo search or whatever, you should be led right to the new bill passed by are dear governor. thats all i have to say about that
CHRISTY BORN EVIL

She started as an innocent girl from Idlewild.
She banged out 2, maybe 3, kids from one of the biggest scumbags of all time (no, not Ted Ptz)...
She ran a day-care, where she scammed the State of Michigan and then she saw the money in even bigger scams.
Christy got into an accident after a night of drinking with an underage boy, and although she was not hurt (a couple of scratches here and there) she claimed that she was incapacitated and going out of her mind and in so much pain...
I've heard that she went to the RC Hospital and flopped around like a fish...
Anything for money.
Christy then befriended a rich older man, who she believed was dying...much to her chagrin, he lived..but she still sucked $140,000 out of him.
He was too afraid to fight her in court, as he had just survived a heart attack and he was afraid that he would die if he fought her.
I'll post a mp3 file, of Christy threatening to slit my throat. She left it on my answering machine.
If you know Christy, or her "Seven Sluts", you'll recognize the voice..
I also have a videotape of her hauling bag after bag after bag of 50# carrots for her criminal boyfriend WHILE she is on disability and collecting about $2800 per month from RC State Farm Insurance.

FYI: Just in case you non-believers think that Christy isn't one of the worst pieces of crap of all time ant that she DIDN'T commit insurance fraud--FELONY INSURANCE FRAUD... there is a NCIB case against her ... filed around 2005 ... which was all covered up by LIBERTY MUTUAL and STATE FARM insurance once they settle the claim with Christy.

That's what insurance companies do... they settle and move on. It's cheaper than fighting a claim.

But, Christy can still be prosecuted, as she should be, for mail fraud; insurance fraud; elder abuse; etc.

But, it probably won't happen as Judge RON NICHOLS (corrupt) is friends with her father in-law lawyer.

I've heard that they were "best friends" in high school.

I'm not really sure who this Chisty girl is or her resterant but after reading the posts about how she did insurance fraud and ripped off a senior citizen and all of that I can't believe that she or her lawyer dad or this judge Nickles didn't respond with some post about this guy being a huge lier. Sounds like it was the truth. How do you go from poor in Idlewild to rich with a restertant in Reed City without stealling from old guys and insurnance companies.

Was the Osceola Inn mostly a attraction for it's bar and restaurant when it was open or is the hotel part something that is needed in the area? I believe it would take a lot of work from a group to get it up and running, but, it could provide a nice teen hang out, as well as jobs, and it's really a beautiful old building. It's a shame to see it sitting empty and sad. I heard Yoplait isn't interested anymore.
