Hooray. Same story, different year. When these guys are all seniors AND still at Western, then we'll consider being enthused about the team.

The basketball recruiting coordinator for WCU should be fired. No recruiting footprint in the south much less North Carolina. I see no further improvement in this program and these recruits will not be able to compete with the Davidson type players. Hunter will do well to finish in the middle of the pack with this bunch. WCU will keep its SoCon Tourney Record intact - play one game and then go home.

Seniors? I wanna see how many of the guys even make it through their freshman year... any bets on how many will even make it to their junior year?

I believe it's the 2nd year in a row and not one scholarship player from North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia.

What is it with WCU coaches and recruiters? Shurina liked players from Canada and Hunter likes players from Ohio, how bout some players that we've actually heard of!

well this ought to be interesting. These guys better be better than Van Landingham or Hunter will get chastised by the mountain fans.

A couple of things here. As bad as Western is at basketball, the WNC rarely put out a player good enough to play there, despite what the local mountain folk think. I don't think they recruit many NC players because they know most would never come. They know that NC kids arent coming to Cullowhee to play in front of 50 people. Recruiting kids to Cullowhee is hard enough, let alone trying to get someone who actually knows how bad things are in Cullowhee.

3 of these guys are juco's (spells bad recruiting) so hopefully they are not freshman.
