I am the aunt of the Lasky. I just want to say that "We will miss David very much and we will stand behind Stephen with what ever the outcome maybe." Stephen is already punishing himself. Him and his brother were and will always be close. No matter what the DA brings or puts on him it will never bring our precious David back and Stephen will punish himself more then the DA will. These boys are wonderful children that was given to my sister from God. We will hold them both close to our hearts forever.

The area these younsters were in is well known for it's under age parties and drinking. Having friends that live up there I am aware of that. Some mountain parents have to stop looking the other way and use their parental responsibility to put a stop to these activities.

The loss of any life at such a young age is tragic, but the younger Lasky needs to be prosecuted and serve a lengthy prison sentence. According to the story he was ramming another vehicle when the accident took place. How many could have died but for the grace of God?

there is a witness that the vechical in front of Stephen stop and reverse his vechical into stephens at full force. Don't believe everything you read. Or may be you are one of those people that do believe everything you hear and read which makes you the stupidest person on earth or at least in southern Cal. you are one of the most ignorant people I have ever communciate with. So why did the drive of the vechical take off and go into hiding from the police if he was a innocent party. They had to search for this person for hours. Thank God they found him. And by the way this kid had hit another car a week before this accident and we be procuted for the same thing. There are three witness to that. So please shout your mouth and keep you comments to your self until you know the whole story. Remember the news only prints what they want to tell the world they never tell the whole story from beining to end.

First of all in the State of California you have what's called the Felony Murder Rule. If you accidentally cause the death of another when in the commission of a felony you are charged with murder. If your nephew is found to have been doing an ADW (assault with a deadly weapon) when his brother was thrown and died he deserves whatever he gets. If not, than he doesn't. ramming the truck he was driving into another vehicle is an ADW.

Amazing that you don't comment on the lack of parental responsibility that I mentioned. If you're so knowledgeable about this than you know why youngsters go up there. Were your nephews drinking, were the other people involved? Are you going to defend your nephew ramming his truck into someone elses car because they did it to him or someone else before he did? Does the advice to 'Call the Police" instead of taking the law into your own hands seem appropriate. If that was done your nephew might still be alive.

Yes the truth will eventually be determined but having raised three kids who would never have been in this position in the first place, and being tired of seeing these types of events happen way to often I will be damned if I will shut my mouth.

The bottom line is two wrongs don't make a right and because someone apparently thought they did you have a nephew who looks to be in serious trouble and one who has lost his life. I do feel sympathy for your loss but one of your nephews should have called the cops if what you're saying is factual. Why didn't they?

By the way they did call the cop. I grew up there in the running springs area and there is not a lot of unsupervisor children out there. By the way I turned out fine. So ypu are telling me your kids don't or never have done anything behind your back. You can't answer that truthfully can you because you don't know. I hope one day you are face with something in life that will open your eyes to try to see the whole picture before making judgesment on someone. there are a lot of good parents in the mountains. A lot of caring and loving people that understand. you have no heart for anyone tring to deal with loss. I have not even buried my nephew yet and you are putting them down along with the other kids and parents that you don't even know. So tell me are some kind of SAINT because you should try to make your self sound that way. Just leave us alone. Go talk about someone you do know. Why don't you call the cops and get the story.
For someone who did not want to say mean and hurtful thing you just did. If you are going to respone to this you will just be wasting your time. I am done with lame people like yourself

Oh please- Do you know what your kids are doing on their dates Friday Night. Where is your compassion? My son was at that party. I am very gratiful that he was in neither vehicle, it could have easliy been him. Just as it could have easily been alot of us when we were teenagers. This isnt a huge part town. The kids were doing what kids having been doing for longer than I've been alive. It was just like hundreds of other end of the school year parties. Who made you judge and jury. You should be ashamed of yourselves!!

While my kids were growing up I did know what they were doing. That's part of being a parent. I'm not perfect and I'm sure they weren't. I do know that they were smart enough never to get caught up in the type of thing that happened up in the mountains.

I already said I had compassion regrading this young mans death but you still don't ram someones vehicle with your own! What part of that don't you people get? Take off, call the cops since you know who the other people are and play it smart.

I would have to agree with Truth and Roncpp. I saw the post by David's uncle towards LORrs and it was very negative, whereas the poster was mentioning the bad behaviour of kids there in the first place, and the uncle said he/she shouldn't camp if he/she didn't like hooligans and noise until 3am. Sorry, but uncle is defending the behaviour that led to the accident. Sounded like he knew what they were up to, other relatives are trying to say they did not. Right. Uncle said that's what the kids do up there.???

Also, there IS common courtesy while camping. Noise and partying is fine until 12am max. After that, it's darn right rude.

It is a tragedy hopefully others will learn from. Sounds like these teen camping parties need to be stopped or chapperoned.

This is david laskys uncle John and I can see that you are so mentally disturbed that you think that the whole world should bow down and be quiet for just you.
if you want to camp in solitude do us all a favor and camp in an area not near a residential hot spot for local children."

According to the post this was in response to, it wasn't saying anything directed at them specifically, and was posted before the details were out.

Sounds like the family is on the defensive as they knew there would be a backlash to the details.

Everyone just needs to stop the madness. All the young people involved in this story will pay dearly in one way or another and many of them already have. Throwing out insults and placing blame will not change the fact of what happened. It is no secret that young people do idiotic things, we have all been there. There is some terrible story like this that haunts every high school, this is no different. While their character is in serious question, alcohol is a perfect catalist to stupid decisions. I was at a nearby campsite that night and unfortunitly had a front row seat to this tragedy. After calling authorities three times between 12am and 1:30am about the party and the racing my husband and I went to bed because no one came to break it up. In my calls I was very sreious about the danger of what was going on... no one came. We were visited the next morning by a detective who told us the news. In my call, that I am sure is recorded, I specifically said that I thought someone was going to die...how sad I was right. Everyone in this community needs to take their share of responsibility for this; parents, law-enforcment, the city, etc. It might be a good idea to have these campsites patroled regulary to prevent this kind of tradgedy again. Stephen did show up for court no he does not have a warrent for his arrest. He went to the wrong court and call right away and they told him to come in the next day and he so go blow yourself don't mention thing you know nothing about. It was not for Aochol either. I was at court with him and they let him go. Leave my nephew a lone find something else to do with your life instead talking about things you know nothing about.
