So far their strategy is to distract Americans with what democrats are doing, condemn it without giving a solution, then to seal the deal they say a few lines from the bible, a western movie, or the constitution to illicit a patriotic response. what kind of B.S platform is that? They offer nothing to the American people but antagonizing their rights. Worst of all, they lie to convince the American public. FOX, Bachmann, Cruz, Boehner make false allegations everyday about the democrats, Obama is a warlord-Nazi-immigrant whose master plan is to radicalize America and bankrupt everyone. Meanwhile Romney is handing out pink slips likes its a complimentary beverage. drink up ya fools, then blame Obama for why it doesn't taste good.

Yup, it's total BS... but then the same can be said on the Democrat end as well. The system, from what I can see, is something like this:

Step 1: Take a stance "supporting" an idea that a lot of people may like (For example, healthcare reform)
Step 2: Offer a solution that is usually not fully flushed out and chock full of flaws, whether they want to admit it or not
Step 3: Let Republicans get into their usual frenzy, calling the idea "unconstitutional" and other such BS, and make general fools of themselves (Likely in some whacked out attempt to make themselves look like the more sane group)
Step 4: Offer up some empty words of comfort and say the word compromise randomly in their speeches, knowing full well they're not going to come to any kind of agreement, but rarely offering up any real compromises themselves (Though the few compromises they do come forward with are usually rejected by the republicans anyway.)
Step 5: Complain about Republicans' unwillingness to compromise act like this is the main, and sometimes, only, route cause of any problems that occur in the implementation of their proposed plan.

Meanwhile behind the scenes state republicans have gerrymandered districts to the point that states will remain red and changed voting laws to disenfranchise voters they don't want voting. Ask women in Texas about voting now. Since some have been married and/or divorced the names don't match and they might not get to vote or get the worthless provisional ballot. A female judge had trouble voting she said first time in her decades of voting she had problems. They can't win fair because their message and platform only appeal to a minority of voters now they want to rig the system.

This is likely the sleep-deprived delirium compelling me to actually ask, but I've been wondering this for a while... Why Kool Aid? So many other fake, over-processed, sugar-filled drinks to choose from; Hawaiian Punch, Hugs, any soda...
Also... Ewwww. Grape flavored drinks... don't even taste like any grapes I've ever had...

Koolaide is what was served in Jonestown. I believe that's where the saying came from. Of course he overuses it to the point all meaning is lost.

In general the party is acting about like many of their more trollish supporters are acting on the internet(i.e Jersyboi, the man, bill and pigpen). They present moving targets, refuse to stand and debate a point, are highly critical without offering alternatives, refuse to cooperate or coordinate then blame the other side for the same, escape any time they are cornered by circling to dead topics or tossing out false equivalencies, and just generally moving from one dramatic spectacle to another.

I think the GOP has actually been like this since the 2008 election. They openly stated that their strategy to get McCain into office was to do almost nothing but bash Obama. Bush had a very low approval rating going into the election, so they said "If the election is about Bush, Obama will win. If the election is about Obama, McCain might win." They supported anyone and everyone willing to bash him, and when they lost both the Presidency and Congress, they just never stopped the propaganda. Slowed down and fine-tuned sure, but it's still all about Obama.

I think the party is starting to realize that this is an issue, and the real reason they haven't done anything is that the people responsible for that never ending string of criticism are fairly entrenched into the GOP and have NO interest in working with Obama. The remainder can't really redefine themselves and work cooperatively for the good of the country without splitting their base, and they're desperately trying to avoid doing that.

Obama done proven to be nothing but a big fat 0.
In the beginning it was nothing but blame Bush.
Benghazi was a spontaneous attack caused by a cartoon. Yea right! And it just happened to involve both direct and indirect fire. Not to mention oh what was that date again? Oh yes that's right Sept. 11th.
Look at his healthcare fiasco. They can't even run a website much less manage the whole program.
Remember him saying if you like your healthcare and dr.'s you can keep them? Another lie. Just like he was going to cut the deficit in 1/2.

It's funny you bring up Hilarycare, what we have now is the republicans answer but now it's tyranny. Hilarycare lol they just do the same thing over and over if you want to change the biggest drag on the economy and major bankrupter of citizens we'll put your name in front of care and that makes it wrong.

I'm for single payer. You know something like Germany has. Seems their economy hasn't suffered and citizens are very happy with the care. I know my uncle was.

Do you enjoy your socialized police and fire departments? Or should we do fee based care in that area too? Oh your house is on fire, would like to pay cash or credit. Oh yea that kinda happened already a few years ago in Tennessee. They didnt pay a simple annual fee for the fire dept, a whole 75 dollars, the firefighters watched it burn to the ground.

You drive a car you have insurance. You live in this country you get medical insurance. You will need care it's prt of being human. You rather pay uninsured people going to the expensive emergency room than pay to see a doctor and improve the quality of life of almost every American.

If only someone would just look at the system we have and try to fix the bugs... The premise was always good.the execution was in need of improvement. But instead of trying to fix things, the republican party acts like it's the end of the world and like it's going to kill them all, and refuses to even look at it properly. Meanwhile, the democrats just sat on their hands letting the republicans throw their hissy fit, barely lifting a finger to fix the bugs in the originally proposed system. There was a lot of work put into developing the system, but there should have been a lot MORE work put into it. And while it IS unfair, the Democrats should have had the ability to do more to pick up the slack for their other half. With ALL of the opportunities for compromise and improvement, I've only ever heard of a compromise or added idea being properly looked at about 4-5 times in these years of BS over it. Both sides keep trying to say it's the other's fault. Both are SO full of sh*t. At this point, republicans are moreso than democrats, but both sides are still just full of it.

There wasn't nothing wrong with what we had. What has happened over the years is too many folks went to the hospitals without any insurance at all,got the best care available, someone had to pay for what they couldn't.Doctors and staff and the hospital can't help ,and earn a living on welfare patients getting shot in the streets..They had to charge more for those who had insurance to make up for the short fall from those who couldn't pay for their injuries or just coming in for help whenever their ill.Somebody pays for the "poor" and the number of poor has almost out passed the ones who can pay.Something has to give, and Obama knows eventually our system will collasp!!...And that is what they are hoping for!!...Then full Socialism, and bigger Government large and in charge of us all....The Gand theme behind Obamacare,is to take control of all of us under a total Government Controlled healthcare System, shutting down every insurance company in America....Then the banks, farms, eventually our whole free market system....COMMUNISM!!....

There was always PLENTY of problems with what we had. Premiums would be raise for everyone else whenever an uninsured person showed up at the ER. Some hospitals would try to mess around with cases with insured people in order to get more out of the insurance companies. Some of the practices of insurance companies toward their customers, while legal, were sometimes just plain foul. The market for insurance has not been very competitive, since they all tend to overcharge for quite a bit anyway... The change to the system, was just to help provide more competition to these private companies, but offering up a "generally" cheaper alternative through government. The idea was that offering this coverage would make the private companies want to try to compete to keep their customers, and they'd BS us a bit less. Also, with less uninsured people, there'd be slightly less raises in premium due to the uninsured ER visits... Not to mention the statistical fact that people with insurance are slightly less likely to end up in the ER at all, so it's good for the health of our people...

The premise, was very good-natured... the execution left WAY too many openings for both insurance companies, and the places of employment providing coverage for their employees to BS and screw over a small percentage of people. Perhaps if our politcal government would get their mess together and stop acting like spoiled children around, those holes would have been plugged and the small percentage facing problems would have been spared...our old system was crappy, and there was no easy way to fix it, so they tried to replace it with a new, slightly different, system, but the new system is full of holes, and our political government is too busy with their heads up their asses, playing the blame game, to even try to fix such small bugs. Nope... their just gonna keep arguing and using them as talking points until the mess get's too tangled to undo, just like what happened to our old system.

There have been calls to reform/ fix the healthcare system for AGES, and hardly anyone has ever actually done anything to change the system until now. We all knew there'd be issues along the way, so stop whining, and come up with solutions to these clearly fixable issues rather than trying to run away from them and back to old, long-running, issues of the past. Try to fix it now while it's just starting, rather than letting the problem grow like the problems of the past have... for God's sake I wish people would just learn and keep moving forward for once.

Nothing wrong? So you advocate a system where 50 million don't have insurance show up at the hospital and we pick up the tab? Ok and you think it's tyranny for system that covers 40 million more and everyone buys insurance so everyone can get proper healthcare, not emergency room care, healthcare and on a whole we spend way less since more people are paying in. It's not just poor people getting shot in the streets, its the young bartender that has a heart attack. He has no insurance and cicu and ICU cost big bucks. How about he has insurance and gets diagnosed with a heart ailment from his doctor and takes the preventative steps not to have a heart attack. Is that not the essence of what we want? Preventative healthcare not people using the emergency room as their doctor. It costs way too much and it just doesn't work. The point is we are all human and living in this country odds are 100% you will die and 100% at some time in your life you will get sick and need to see a doctor. Everyone that drives has car insurance , everyone that lives here must also have medical insurance.
