It would be nice if you could get your facts straight! HPV does have symptoms - they're called genital warts. Let's not try to scare people into getting their daughters vaccinated.
If my daughter decides to marry a man who has this virus, she can choose to get vaccinated before the wedding.

Now if they told us the truth about everything they reported we may actually believe them!! No one I know of is going to vaccinate their daughters. It is a poor way to tell the girls they won't get cancer. How about telling them to not have sex outside of marriage instead!!

It should be up to the parents to decide if a vaccination such as this is necessary for their daughter. A 9 year old should not be sexually active in the first place thus there is no need for this vaccination. If young ladies feel they are old enough to be sexually active, and their parents are concerned enough to get this vaccination for their child then mom or dad should be mature enough to take their daughter to get an annual exam and KNOW all the risks involved in being sexually active. What are the long term effects? Have the test groups who have gotten this vaccination had their own children yet? Could there be effects showing up in their babies? If its mandatory then the state should be paying for ALL of them not just girls insured under medicaid. But then again what better way to test this drug on a mass group then our under insured and poor! I am against having this be a madatory vaccination.
