The fact is that the vast majority of the American electorate is unable and/or unwilling to serve in the US Military, especially the combat arms. Yet this electoral majority unjustly determines what wars are to be fought, how they are to be fought, and how the returning veteran is to be treated. This encourages an exploitative, denigrating, and discriminatory attitude towards veterans. This same majority has granted itself privilege economically, socially, and culturally over veterans, even combat veterans.
"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation."

You need to get your ass to work and stop waiting for a handout, telling anyone who will listen how bad you've got it. We have guys like you on the corner of every street light begging for money. Many wouldn't take a job if offered one.
I am also a vet and been working for 42 years.
Well goody for you! Many vets don't have jobs today. Your attitude would change real fast if your sorry ass got laid off and became unemployed for a few years.

You can just STFU unless you are homeless. Lots of Vietnam Vets never made it back, and plenty are rotting away in VA hospitals all over America, unable to even get to a bathroom by themselves. Just count your damn blessings.

Is that too much to ask for all the blood that we lost fighting for America?

Funny how it was OK for you to put us "worthless" GIs in charge of flying million dollar helicopters and aircraft! You are much worse than worthless, you are soul less.

I'm not the one that is homeless and crying about it. I have money coming in and I pay my rent.
There is something wrong with your thinking. IF you were in the military, you know what is expected of you. I know most men are proud of the service they did for their country, so move somewhere where people like you don't care. We don't need a crybaby who wants something for free.

YES. That is too much to ask for. Nothing for free. I really do not think you are a veteran because a veteran gets free medical treatment, a grave and a flag and that's it. A REAL veteran knows that and doesn't cry about what they think they are owed.

IF you are a veteran, why don't you apply to the VA for a 5150 status. They will give you a room and anything you need for at least three days and that is something for free.
What branch of the military did you serve? What years? Do you know what STAND DOWN is?

The VA is providing programs for the homeless. All you have to be is an honorable discharged veteran. Prove that!

Those programs are a joke. If they worked, thousands of American veterans would not be living in the streets.

Ungrateful fools like you are going to hear it whether you like it or not! Have some damn respect for servicemen who spilled their blood for you.
