Los Angeles moves to ban declawing of cats

The Los Angeles City Council has given preliminary approval to an ordinance that would ban the declawing of cats.The unanimous vote Friday follows a similar action by the Beverly Hills City Council a day earlier.

This is great news. Let's hope that the rest of the country follows the courageous action that these California cities have demonstrated.
