If more parents are enlightened or influenced by your truth and negativity, it's better they leave behind all the other followers. We are parents of the new SBS community and we are standing up for our school. It's no longer your school, so why do all you people keep hanging on to something that is no longer yours? It's like a cult! Just follow that Anthony guy and leave us alone. Stop being so vindictive to those of us who are staying for our children's sake. Let go! This is no longer a cult!

Tsk tsk, you are getting so bothered by this. Why continue to torture yourself and keep reading the blog? could it be you and your "groupies" are afraid more parents will be enlightened by the truth? Your rantings will not force anyone from speaking the truth. Nice try Kinini, Lol!!

You wish this was the administration because then you would not have to come back to the new SBS reality. The new and remaining parents are tired of you people bashing the school. Why is it so hard for you people to leave us alone. We are standing by "our" school and that includes the administration who would not be commenting on this blog. They have other things to do, like plan for next year and get over the mean, brutal bullying from you vindictive parents.

My family is brand new to the school. We keep hearing these stories, true or not that may be heartfelt, but for our children's sake, you must move on and we need to move forward. I tried to enroll my oldest child who is now HS age, years ago when your children were on that playground, but I was warned because of controlling parent behavior and a turnover in principals. I see why now, after reading such vindictive, mean, bullying comments by the same people I was warned about. Guess what, now my family has a new beginning for my children at this school because parents who were so called playing on the playground have left. Now my family and others starting at St. Bruno and staying are asking your families to leave peacefully and let the school recover. Your thoughts of failure mean nothing to the new families. Just leave the school alone and remember your good times playing in the playground. Now it's my children's turn and others who wish to remain hopeful things will recover. How we do that is supporting the principal and her current staff. It's our so called problem now, not yours!!!

Think about genius. When the school was flourishing you could not get in. Now that the have two poor leaders Carvahlo and Conrad there is more than enough room at the inn. Wow no one thinks or research any more. Bruno is a third rate school if they are lucky.

Shut it Newbie... Your opinion doesn't count. Your a green pea that doesn't know anything or have any real amount of time at the school for your thoughts to be heard. Your out of your league. Go count your new uniforms or something.

Bruno is going to be a great school with a bunch of uneducated parents, teachers, and administrators. Good argument. If you noticed MOST of the educated families have left the school

This blog is meant for adults and children should not have access to it so you don't have to worry about the children. We all wish your family well and all the families that remain. Surely, you understand that you enrolled your child at a place that is in the middle of litigation and there are more lawsuits on the way. All of this will not go away until the lawsuit is over. On the very last day of school the archdiocese had their attorney's questioning teachers. This will be your new normal and if it bother's you then you should have done more investigating. I'll help you out; there are lawsuits pending, the media likes to camp out at the school, there is an active stalker on formal probation who has violated his restraining order in the past, most of the teacher's will be gone that made the school what it was, the school is no longer a B level school and is for the first time in recent history offering financial aid and well you know there's a lot more but you should do some of your own research. There is no vendetta and no one is being vindictive. There are simply families that were wronged that are providing awareness. There are people that were wronged in a way that calls for legal action. Everyone has a responsibility to protect the children and believe me there are some serious issues that you may not be aware of. I'm glad people have the courage to stand up for our kids against the archdiocese. Imagine how many kids could've been saved from sexual abuse had more parents stood up and were not afraid of people like you who try and shut them up. Take a minute and think about that.

we'll soon find out if she was commenting on the blog. The archdiocese is trying to get IP addresses for the last blog. Somehow I believe that will disappear when they find out how many friends, family members and some of the staff were on that blog. Does anyone remember how often the principal was carrying around her ipad around the time the last blog was active? hmmmmmmmm.......

Why do you people have such a vendetta against the principal? It cant be the stalker because all of you kept your children in the school until the last day. You made your choice, now go harass your new principal and try to control that school. Just go away! Good riddance!

You are right on Anthony! And because if that, we left months ago. This school was exceptional and the kids were the focus. The distractions from the principal and her "stuff" negatively impacted instruction and school climate. Thats the bottom line as she is the leader of the school and sets the tone for the campus. The firing of skilled teachers while the other remain is a clear indication that she had a plan to clean house without any regard for our kids. She did not value the established school community. Prior to her arrival there were no major complaints or tension. So why did people side with her? There wasnt a need for these changes as there were not areas identifed by the community or student performance that warranted these random changes. As an administrator in education, I don't understand how what happened this year is acceptable. This staff went through the intense WASC accredidation process last year to then be asked to leave. That process requires the entire staff to gather data, endure panels of interviews, prepare for observations, and complete a huge amount if paperwork to prove that the school is meeting accredidation standards. After all that, they get the boot. How is that okay?

This was a cohesive and kid centered community. That was the objective of having your children at a Catholic school. For those who did not have the chance to grow up in a Catholic school, you have no idea the gift that was taken away from our kids. The gift of a cohesive and well established community based on what's best for the kids, a place were long lasting friendships were developed, a place for them to come back and visit, and a place to, if they could, send their own children to...all taken away. Our family has moved forward and I hope SBS will as well. I wonder what could have been if things would have continued as they were prior to this principal. Dont just follow, watch where the one who is leading you is going and why. Have clarity of thought and do what's best for your kids, whatever that may be! Peace!

Simply amazing…it was as if Nero was watching Rome burn and all he did was play his violin as if nothing wrong was taking place. An amazing place was allowed to fall apart, families divided, long time relationships severed at the core. And none of these so called leaders stepped in to mend the wounds they have caused. Yet instead…. They did nothing… their lack of action said it all. We have lost a lot of good families and a lot of great children…yet those who caused this unrest still remain in their positions. As a member of a large organization I cannot phantom how they still remain. The bickering needs to cease…the truth have been told and it will be reaffirmed in a court of law. Once the discovery portion is completed…including the depositions, it will all be out in the open. My humble prediction is that the “church” will offer a settlement for the employment violations (believe me there were plenty, you can argue “private school,” but employment law trumps that argument), with a gag order. That is how “they” do it.
The plaintiffs need to reject that offer and take it to the “box” of the public scrutiny. Those who showed poor judgment in their administrative/leadership need to be reassigned. In the end there will be no winners and no losers…just children who were denied the opportunity to experience a complete lower level catholic education at one school, as I was so fortunate to have received. Isn’t that what we all wanted? Up until a stranger came to town and ensured that we would never have that. I stood up at that meeting and said..“absolute power will lead to absolute corruption”..and I stand by those words. In this case I believe this has been the case. You all know who I am…and I hold no ill will toward anyone. Yes SBS needs to move forward..however..NEVER forget the past so that you ensure that history repeats itself. God speed and fight the good fight.

"Cat" will not be leaving. She is doing exactly what she was hired to do at St. Bruno... Clean house... and is it any wonder? She is staying regardless of what you speculate may be happening. You think the archdioces is oblivious to this whole situation? They have know for years that St. Bruno is the "problem child " with its revolving door of principles and its inability to enforce and adhere to policy. They have been apprised of every event since the beginning and they support her... not you and your tribe of rebels. By the way, if you think that she has failed.. you couldn't be more wrong. Success has everything to do with quality not quantity. The student enrollment may be less but that was anticipated, expected and necessary. You, of course would see that as failure but the archdioces and the rest of us do not. By the way..... you talk of litigation?...you know nothing.

Okay, please remain on topic and in the world of facts. The reality is that the gift of a well established community, long lasting friendships, the ability to come back and visit the teachers who helped them along the way has been taken away. I went to a Catholic school and still have those friendships to this day. I grew up in Whittier and SBS has always had an excellent reputation. We saw the writing on the wall left months ago and never imagined things would get even worse.

The principal came with an agenda that was not centered on our kids. On top of that, she is booting a staff that handed her a WASC accreditation that she did not have to endure. Like it or not, as an administrator in education, what happened this year is that okay and was not on behalf of our kids. The community was not crying out for change and the student performance was not an issue prior to this principal.

Keep clarity of thought, if you follow know where the leader is headed, and do what's best for your kids, whatever that may be!! Peace!,
