Declawing is barbaric, and it's about time someone took on this issue. Hope other cities follow suit.

The LA City Council doesn't have are more pressing matters than banning cat declawing. Violent crime is on the rise. The City is falling apart,. The City won't hire more Police Officers. The LAUSD produces some of the dumbest students in the Country due to SOCIAL PROMOTION which is no more than SOCIALISM.
The City Council should get their act together and deal with real issue's and stop wasting the TAXPAYERS MONEY'S and TIME !
Boss Tweed had a program like this some time back in New York.

Declawing isn't equivalent to human torture, its equivalent to human cosmetic surgery. Cats didn't make the choice to be declawed? This is only as bad as keeping a pet unable to leave on its own will.

The cut off the entire last digit of the cat's feet. They don't just remove the nail. It's inhumane, barbaric. Walking is very painful. Most cats find it too painful to use their litter box so they poop, pee on carpeting. Other cats resort to biting because they realize they are defenseless. These new undesirable behaviors make the cat more likely to be dumped at the shelter.

I looked up Dr. Martin Mackie. There is no vet by that name in California. Where is this vet expert? What state?

Just because councilmembers deal with lesser issues doesn't mean they aren't dealing with the bigger issues. Why do some people think they can't take care of all the issues? Yes, LA has some of the worst students in the nation. That has nothing to do with cat's claws.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Scorpio

A loved one is extremely upset today, and you'll soon know all about it. Things are out of proportion, so a minor hitch becomes a huge drama that means you've got to drop everything in order to calm them down. Hey ho. At least it won't last long. If you're doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, you won't have as much patience as usual and nor will anyone else.
