A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known, and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor. He speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in hearts of men. He rots the soul of a nation. He works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city. He infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A Murderer Is Less To Be Feared. Cicero, 42 B.C.
The only difference between communism and socialism is its method of
imposition.

riccardo...you simple dont know enough about the world to be included as a serious poster in this conversation.

arab nationalism didnt start in 2010...

arab or persian unrest, due to one oppersive government or other, didnt start in 2010.. the iranian revolution of 1979 was one memorable fall of a western puppet...replaced by an equally repressive religious regime!!

the roots of the problem go WAYYYYYY back.

and most of it stems from colonialism...

but I realize that narrow (faux generated)anti Obama, narrative fits your narrow, world veiw.

what happened in eygpt?

has been forecast to happen in saudi arabia for years...

listen to bob behar, former cia man, turned analyst, author.

that would be a huge loss for the cartels, and a big short term blow to the Us economy if we dont start to repower now.

true, that is why we need to marginalize the rethuglican party.

the social conservatives need to stop pushing their religious belifes on everyone else.. and go home...

they can come back and participate in the public debate if they promise to leave their religion at home.

the agenda of the right has been roundly rejected by the american electorate.

I have been saying that for some time now, he simply does not have enough information to be a part of any serious discussion on the subject.

Bush's invasion of Iraq removed a sunni dominated government and replaced it with one that was more representative of the population...

unfortunatley it was also more representative of the Iranian population too....

thus handing Iran a huge amount of influence in iraq.

Yeah... as I said before, some of these people are not ready for democracy. The idea that a nation should protect the rights of a minority of the population has to be intrinsic first.

Else you end up with just another oppressive regime.

There are Americans today, some in this forum, that really arent ready for democracy, fortunately the majority of Americans are.

You do not Listen wrote:
Karl Marx was paid by the "League of the Just" (later named the "Communist League") in 1847 to write the Communist Manifesto, and paid again to rewrite it in 1848. The Manifesto was intended to incite violent revolution, was a recipe for tyranny itself, and was later used as propaganda (a 'glorious goal' to believe in) to blind followers to the realities of the brutal dictatorships that oppressed all workers and slaughtered millions under Communist rule. Hitler's "Mein Kampf" and Mao's "Little Red Book" served similar evil and deadly purposes. Many dictators throughout history and today attempt to disguise their tyranny with fancy labels and phony philosophies to make slavery seem somehow just and essential--another example was the earlier doctrine of "divine rule of kings." These 10 steps are just a part of the Manifesto, the full text of which can be found on the web.
Western nations including the United States have gradually implemented virtually all of Marx's 10 key steps toward creating a dictatorship. What are some examples can you find? Americans would be wise to study the "Ten Planks" and demand that the President and Congress abolish all laws, regulations and agencies which govern these (and all other) unconstitutional seizures of power. Communism was never intended to free man, but to enslave him; indeed the Communist Manifesto promised a "dictatorship of the proletariat" and history proved it always ended up slaughtering and enslaving millions of the proletariat.
Karl Marx's "10 Planks" to seize power and destroy freedom:
Abolition of Property in Land and Application of all Rents of Land to Public Purpose.
A Heavy Progressive or Graduated Income Tax.
Abolition of All Rights of Inheritance.
Confiscation of the Property of All Emigrants and Rebels.
Centralization of Credit in the Hands of the State, by Means of a National Bank with State Capital and an Exclusive Monopoly.
Centralization of the Means of Communication and Transport in the Hands of the State.
Extension of Factories and Instruments of Production Owned by the State, the Bringing Into Cultivation of Waste Lands, and the Improvement of the Soil Generally in Accordance with a Common Plan.
Equal Liability of All to Labor. Establishment of Industrial Armies, Especially for Agriculture.
Combination of Agriculture with Manufacturing Industries; Gradual Abolition of the Distinction Between Town and Country by a More Equable Distribution of the Population over the Country.
Free Education for All Children in Public Schools. Abolition of Children's Factory Labor in it's Present Form. Combination of Education with Industrial Production.
oh I read your loony rant.

it sounds like a typical confused tea bagger wrote it.

a tea bagger like yourself doesnt even know the difference bewteen hitler and stalin...

call me when the state takes over ownership, of ALL sectors of the economy........loon.!!

ps: progressive income taxation of the eisenhower era, is the only reason you can drive from state to state....

or that you have a navy....

or bailouts for the banks..

get real....

Another GOP, Republican Crank-Yanker Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) will soon Chair of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
Since this raving idiot has questioned the scientific consensus on climate change.

Why can't the idiots just go back to Texas and leave the rest of us alone?
