Los Angeles is in a desert. All the green is totally manufactured by man thru irrigation pumped from the mountain snow. This is true.

It's sad for southern California, but remember they created an artificial environment. I can understand they want to save it, but you can't blame the climate for the loss of it.

What about New Mexico? They are constantly building on large streches of desert, space ports, etc. when the state can't even put out fires.

I am not sure how spaceports and fires are a part of a conversation on Los Angeles.

The spaceport is in the desert where there is plenty of room for the runways and not much need for lush green areas.

The fires occur in the forests where no one has tried to build a spaceport.

Los Angeles is in prime oceanfront location. And it's a desert. Without importing water Los Angeles would look like a desert.

What makes LA lush and green is man. Man moved the water from the snowpact in the mountains to the LA area. The Romans did it. Nothing new, but you can't blame climate change for the drying of LA.

LA is a desert disquised by man to look like a very lush and green area. If I lived there I wouldn't want to give it up either.

Since that time, Britain has had a lot of heavy snowfall and it doesn't look like stopping any time soon.
