Im not the only one, Winder smells
like dog food. What kind of image is
that for Barrow County?

The city of Winder smells just as bad as it looks?

it is not dog food it is chicken feed, it comes from harrison poultry feed mill located on midland avenue

We have struggled with this odor for years. It would seem that it could be filtered somehow to relieve the community of the stench. When the wind is coming our way, it is impossible to enjoy living downtown, working outside in the garden or sitting in the swing on our porch. I think it is important that Harrison Poultry act in a socially responsible manner and work to eleviate the odor.

Winder has always smelled like dog food (actually chicken feed) for as long as I can remember. Just be lucky it's chicken feed you're smelling and not the discusting smell of the landfill first thing in the morning.

Its close by Midland Ave, not sure what
chicken feed smells like but it smells like
something rotting. I think the reason has
something to do with all the narrow alleys
Winder has that there are so many rats,
and thus rat droppings.

Im not sure which is worse, the backed-up
sewer smell near that stretch of road between
the hospital and downtown or the demonic
stench of the garbage landfills that penetrates
closed windows when driving up 316 at night
as you cross the Barrow County line.

Maybe a scatch and sniff lottery ticket
to offset the rising property taxes on
the falling property values?

And what is it with all the broken out
windows and boarded up houses and buildings,
do we really need another strip mall or
fast food joint? How about a sit down
restaurant with jobs for waiters and
waitresses? Most cities also have a
movie theatre....Im just saying........
