So....is this place legit or what?

Lots of hype about bringing jobs into the community, and yet...they
"aren't currently hiring".

any credibility or substance to this company?

No it is totally bogus.

Silver Eagle went into business many years ago now and has to date produced one unit. Last word was they had one unit partially built as well.

They have over represented themselves in the one trade magazine they have been featured in and missed thier first and only unit rollout by more than 2 years.

best I can tell the owners flip flop from business venture to business venture.

It is unknown what support they got from thier last home in Brownsville TX, but their claims never amounted to substance.

They are making the same claims they did in Brownsville of many jobs.

Hard to make a go of things in the Coach industry when the industry trade magazines don't give you any respect.

Any money local and State Govt has given these people is surely to go right into thier pockets

Thanks for the response.

I have had the feeling that this was a shifty company from the beginning, it's a shame too because the Silver Eagle name is one of legendary status. Sad to see it get run into the ground.

This place is a joke. Word on the street is they promise all these jobs so they can rake in state money then never hire anyone. Also the the employment agency handling the applications won't even anwer questions about the hiring timeline. Sounds like they are in this scam together.

That same employment agency has lied to plenty of people with another company in portland. They said this one place of business will have great pay with benefits.
Benefits are not worth having, no 401K. Very hard to get raise. Most start at 7.50 HR. What a shame the working man suffers. This company is a green company, so you know they are getting money.(Also the employment agency is doing there payroll and they mess that up.

From what I'm reading it seems like there are people still stuck in the past concerning information on SEMFG. I know I was because they're so tight lipped about everything. Their web site don't reveal much other than the last two pictures of one of 27 brand new built 30' classic eagle 15's. Also they do have at least four new eagle 25's built of which I think are VIP promotional coaches. Most people (I know I was) will be shocked to learn that it does not take a whole lot of people to assemble a motor coach. When they decide that they want to start really mass producing coaches then that's when they're going to need a lot of work force. I know of only a few companies who have "back" orders on the classic styles and who are trading in their current coach models (for credit or refurbish?). I can't seem to get to communicate directly with the office about the status of business progress. I guess it because I'm not big charter bus company placing big orders

You won't find out anything about this company because they are a scam...Like i said earlier they promised all these jobs so they could get a wad of state money to pad their pockets and not hire but 12 people. That's a long way from the 100's they said they would hire.

If indeed this is a big scam, does anybody think this company, after investing in the old jigs, and actually building quite a few shells already, can actually get away without full-filling one "iota" of their stated missions or promises ? I mean these folk are pretty well known around these parts with reputable connections. I assumed that their reputation preceded them in securing the initial investment loans (and small bussiness start up grants). I just find it too odd to make all this publicity, and then try to sneak away into oblivion while expecting to be forgotten by creditors and investors!?
Untill I hear/see something from the news wire about a flim-flam-scam, then I'll not give up all hope of these guys.

Well...for the time being the place still sits there day after day with about 3 cars parked in the lot.

Can't be doing to hell of a whole lot in there.

Time will tell but so far it isn't looking good for their big plans they were talking up.

I can understand why some people may be skeptical. As it seems every time when you're about to give up on this another carrot is thrown out in front of you, just enough to keep leading you to God knows where. Well, the latest carrot (as you may well know by now)is an updated web site picture of an Eagle 15/45, and statments confirming their original "attainable" goals. Hopefully it all eventually leads to fulfilled promises and dreams for all of us.

Overall I say hang in there guys/gals, and pray for them and us because maybe good things really do come nice and slow to them that wait.:-)

I am very sad to say that I am a creditor of Silver Eagle from when they were in Brownsville TX and I am very upset because they owe us money and they won't take our calls or call back. They seemed like good people struggling to overcome the crisis buy I am not so sure anymore. It is sad that you lend out your hand to people on good faith and you get slapped back :(

On July 15th 2010 I spoke with Craig Hanloh about a piece of stainless steel to repace the newly made door on my 1989 Eagle bus. He gave me a price to manufacture it and on July20th 2010 I sent Mr. Hanloh a bank money order to cover the cost of the work, and shipping. It is now 6 weeks later, and after talking to Craig on numerous occasions, and recieving many excuses, I have not recieved the part. He had assured me that he would call me with a tracking number for Fedex so that I could determine the date of arrival for the part. All of this was just delaying tactics from a real scam artist. Do not try to do business with this company. They certainly do not operate in good faith. I am contacting The Gallitin Chamber of Commerce and The Mayor of Gallitin to let them know what a huge mistake they (and I) have made by trusting The Hanloh's. Gallitin was certainly taken in by these people who's guise as a legitimate businees got not only Gallitin to make them offers of land and buildings, but even The Governor Of Tennessee was taken in by them. They are real Pro's at conning people, and need to be stopped in their tracks. I will post further notices so that you will know what is being done to expose Silver Eagle bus Manufacturing for what it really is. A Flim Flam outfit.

For anyone needing help finding parts or service for an Eagle bus, go to http://www.eaglesinternational.net . There you will find an Eagle bus club with a forum of over 275 owners. No matter what you need, most likely someone there will be able to help you find a source.
