They should buy it and make it into something useful, say like a pumkin farm! Right now it is only a censorship-happy mob. I referred to the rag as "s n o o z e d a y" without the spaces in a blog and they ****'d it. LOL

Murdoch's no dummy. He realizes that print Newspaper are a thing of the past. They will slowly fade away over time and replaced by all internet newspapers.

I have cablevision and all I get is "optimum triple play" commercials on all the channels, all the time. If they buy Newsday, I'll get to READ all about the "triple play" on 80 pages of newsprint everyday!!!

king midas in reverse

hopefully dolan buys newsday and turns it over to his son jim to run. jim has already destoryed the ny knicks and a company cablevision bought called the wiz. he's sure to do the same with newsday if he's put in charge. king midas in reverse is what the mayor called him. it's my fondish wish that both newsday and cablevision are totally destoryed. jim dolan is just the right man for that job!

Go Cablevision GO

Cablevision buying NEWSDAY would be the BEST thing for NEWSDAY and Newsday employees ... We embrace you Cablevisionm ...Keep Newsday a LongIsland Family / HOME owned newspaper ... When Tribune Bought Newsday, 8 years ago, it was all downhill for Newsday, and the employees!!! They DESTROYED Newsday. As will Sam Zell and Rupert Murdoch. Do we wnat Newsday to become THE POST !!?? When Newsday was Family Run .. it was one of the top places to work and the best Long Island news and avertising for Our Home on Long Island. I say GO CABLE !!!

THIS IS REALLY SCARY, PEOPLE. How many news outlets does this guy own? Isn't this a monopoly, him owning three NY newspapers?? If one entity controls all the news, then he can control all that we learn about the world...I am honestly very, very frightened and disturbed by this.

In the 1940s, America saw how the Nazi's controlled all the news and information in Germany, so they set up laws to prevent one person or company from having control over too many news outlets. In the 1980s, the Republicans did away with those laws. Now there is no limit to how many radio/TV/newspapers one person can own. If we only hear one side, then we will never know what is really going on. How can this be allowed to happen? Oh, I get it. The goverment controls the corporation that controls the news. The government tells the corportation what to report. The corporation reports this one view to AAAALLL of their radio stations, TV stations, newspapers, websites. The people become brainwashed and indoctrinated into ONE viewpoint. This is what the Nazi's did. Not that the American gov't are Nazi's but.....come on. This is wrong.

Upper Echelon Michael wrote: Cablevision made an offer to buy the rail yards at Penn Station to prevent a stadium from being built there to compete against their old MSG. Then they backed out. Cablevision and Newsday are the two most corrupt institutions on Long Island. I bet Cablevision will back down ! Their bluff is being called !! They are Chicken s--t !!! So, did the stadium get built?

Where was the concern when 98% of the available media spewed communist propaganda ? Now that the communists no longer have a monopoly on media, the shrill shrieks are starting.
