Right man righ ttime

I said it back in 2003, Steve Levy was the right man at the right time for Suffolk. He won the County Executive seat and proved that I was right. The only way Tom Suozzi can keep up with Steve is to put on roller skates like Phil Nolan suggested tonight at the State of the County address. Keep up the good work Steve. Bring Grumman to Suffolk County!!!!!! RB

depression down there wrote: <quoted text> Florida is currently the hardest hit state in the country for real estate. it is a depression down there right now. You can see 4 or 5 houses in a row up for sale and the asking price in many many areas is under, well under a hundred grand. If you bought in the 80s you might be able to get even money today but I seriously doubt it. Talent pool work in WalMarts and Hess gas stations. Just came back it is scary to say the least, literally 4 or 5 in a row! Don't make a snap judgement on what you think you saw.The talent pool is available and most of us don't have to work because we have to.We work when we want to.If you bought in the 80's your investment is worth double plus what you paid .You are talking out of your a$$.

DUH wrote: IT is stupid sin ce long island is an island and if you ever planned on expanding on Long Island again there might not be any land left to do so. They could have rented or leased the land instead of selling it. MY father was laid off from grumman and my grandfather retired from there. I just think its stupid for grumman to try to come back. When they went under it left long island in a horrible mess. Do we really need that again? YES!

I do not believe Suffolk can enjoy any more business with tax advantages. It is time we find a way increase the tax base, remove spending where it does not need to be, and bucke up for a strmy ride. On the verge of a recession, we cannot afford to have companies have county governments bid against one another to get a tax advantage that cost us more in the long run.

DoD treachery wrote: <quoted text> You got it in one, Waldo. Not to mention Long Island has suddenly become "strategic" again thanks to that psycho in the White House taking a big dump all over the middle east. If he attacks Iran he's going to piss off Russia AND Europe, and Hillary will allow the military/industrial complex to continue doing what he started - although it's a tossup as to whether she'll do it because she's corruptable or because her lack of military experience means it will be easy to give her the mushroom treatment. You are by word, thought,(lack there of)and deed a moron!

Riverhead will, without trying, screw up the Calverton site as you can see with what their doing now. Take it back Grumman before it's too late. Mount Calverton, what a joke. Can you just picture Mount Calverton looking over our brave military men at Calverton National. Give it up Riverhead and stop f****** it up.

Question:
What do you get when you elect Italians and Poles to run your town?
Answer:
An indoor ski mountain.

Riverhead has had many people make many promises about grand construction schemes all around town for a long time. The mountain is at least from a group with money who are willing to put it where their mouth is, and i agree with my elected officials that is the proof of progress. Money Talks, and Bull Zhit Walks !

Double nothing is still nothing. An a$$ up here is a rocket scientist down there. If you don't have to work there is a reason, it is dirt cheap. Unfortunately it is destined to stay that way.

Dear Retired Grumman - Pt.St.Lucie - "The first move is the hardest. They should move and consolidate those operations left to Melbourne where the cost of living and doing business is a lot cheaper. The talent pool is better due to the Cape and all the contractors in the area.Houses are reasonable.I relocated in the 80's and never regreted it." You live in Florida now and how can you say the "cost of living and doing business is alot cheaper down here?" Have you been out of your house lately, or paid any electric bills, car insurance, homeowners insurance, property taxes? The cost is comparable to NY now. 15 years ago when I moved here it was cheaper then, not now.
