Lets increase traffic on this overcrowded island... build a theme park or how about another Tanger outlet mall like Deer Park!

wait!!!the crooked politicians are finalizing their plans to get kickbacks and tax abatments to keep it tax free for the next 100 years! like they did to mitchel field.( no tax increase in taxes for 99 years!) yea! for the politically connected and screw the lowly homeowner who doesn't have enough taxes to pay, let the little guy foot the bill! remember that parcel of land in plainview they gave to charlie wang?(he was the only qualified bidder) yeah right!! shenanigans again by the politically connected and corrupt politicians!! screw the little guy, let him pay the taxes, he won't mind. they never mind, those little taxpayers. we businessmen should never have to pay our taxes, we should be thankfull for the little guy. but we aren't!

Why call a deadline a deadline if nothing happens when you miss it?
Great job

Maybe they are trying to win the government ineptitude contest. But NYS and the Port Authority, which haven't even fixed the gaping scar in lower manhattan for almost 7 years since 9/11, but has received tens of billions of dollars of federal aid, are still well out ahead.

Privatize wherever possible. Get the stinking county out of it.

Why the hell is Nassau County taking 6 acres off the tax rolls and giving it to the Bethpage Fire Department, The BFD has more buildings then they need including their playhouse on Stewart Avenue. There is no place in Bethpage that the Fire Dept cannot reach in under 5 minutes. This sounds like a sweetheart deal between the Fire Dept and Legislator Mangano. The taxpayer are getting ripped off again by taking this off the tax rolls and i am sure they will try to build another fire station.

I'm sure at the last minute of the last deadline, someone who is connected to some political hack will get some sweetheart deal again, like the Mitchell Field deal you mentioned. Same old Nassau County. I'm glad I left. I feel sorry for those stuck with this "leaderhsip". For what you pay in taxes, you deserve better.
