No, I don't think anyone was hurt. It appears to be just an empty field. The power went off for about an hour or so. I would like to know how the fire was started though.

A "little fire"??? Maybe you should open your eyes...At least 10 different departments were summoned to the fire. I can't stand people who makes comments, and they have no facts about the incident.

I saw all the fat guys in turnout gear on the side of the road. They looked focused. Thought for a moment that a Yocco's was on fire, they were so intense!

Come on it was still just a brush fire, you have to be surprised that mcall even bothered covering it - doesn't have any blood, death, or violence...And you know perfectly well in the fire service if the dispatch doesn't come across as structure or dwelling fire, you'll need 10 departments to get 10 guys together in PA.

Stop the vollies before someone gets hurt. Lack of training, funding, and poor image only shows that the area fire service needs to regionalize and be a full time career department. Too many hands in too little of a pot if you ask me. Stop this tom-foolery before it is too late.

it would be my guess that those who are making the rude comments about these hard working firefighters do not, themselves volunteer to be out there serving thier communities.

For those of you making negative comments about the firefighters who were there, you might as well just shove a knife in my back. I was there working that fire unlike you people. Yes vollies are understaffed because of people like you not putting your time and effort into your community. We are trained, we carry the same certs and training that a paid department is required to take, the ONLY DIFFERENCE WE DONT GET PAID!!!!!!!!! So the next time you want to critisize a volunteer fire dept. look at yourselves and ask "What am I doing to help my Community". And i gurantee the answer will be nothing.

The negative comments aside, the area firehouses still need to look into centralizing some of the stations - which seems more popular amongst the younger firefighters. I've heard talk of the companies in Lower Saucon looking to do this, but it's been on the table for over a year now and the talks always breakdown around who should be Chief...(aka man with biggest stick). I've also heard comments that it doesn't matter if it's one company or five - for a structure fire all are dispatched, my concern is with the rescues or pump details where only one company is dispatched. A centralized station also makes it so every training is a "joint" training instead of maybe once every three or six months.

Yo tool how did you see any of the fire crews? The road was closed. I'm sure you're very active in the fire department in your local area and recieve all the training these guys do. plus put countless hours in of your time to help people for free. if it wasnt for vol. depts our taxes would be higher then they already are. Think next time buddy

Just so you know we hold all of the same training certs as the paid fire depts. If you don't hold certs you don't participate in the actual fire fighting operation. You get tools and water. Read up before you post.

why is it democrats are so quick to raise our taxes and make government bigger.. as well as convince everyone that they are not responsible enough to better themselves and adapt to changes in career or health or anything else.. that they have the gall to ask people to volunteer to fight fires ... aren't our soldiers and volunteers.... show equal respect

Are you willing to pay more taxes to help put full time fire departments up? cause thats what it is going to take....no cause you would be the first to complain about paying more taxes. If its a problem in your area go to the or boro meetings and express your concerns.
