I had to stop, I almost fell out of my chair. Maybe the kitten thought it was going to get a parking ticket from the best dressed meter maids in the country. I wonder if they gave the kitten medical treatment after biting the trooper, never know what those troopers have.

At first I thought this was a joke but it appears to be a true story. If the trooper cannot defend himself from an 8 week old kitten - this state is certainly not safe from criminals and terrorists!

A state trooper...was attacked...by a kittycat? Not a lion or tiger or armed robber...but, a kittycat? I'm willing to bet the trooper won't be putting this article in his scrapbook. Although maybe they should frame it and put it on the barracks wall. Big bad gun toting state trooper gets taken down by a kitty.

I thought these guys shot first and then asked questions? That will teach them to veer from protocall.

No doubt the kitten was a liberal who hates our country and the cop was a good conservative who loves our country. That kitten does not deserve a trial but should be hung at sunrise tomorrow morning. Please, no ACLU or other liberal lawyers who hate our country trying to free the criminal liberal cat to again terrorize our good conservative wives and children who love our country.

Are you sure that wasn't a California Cougar? These cats are a little up set over us taking up their habitat.

All joking aside, if this kitten attacked another person prior to attacking the trooper, it probably is a feral cat and will probably have to be destroyed.

All joking aside. Leave the feral cats alone except to leave food and water out for them. Better to have feral cats roaming the rural countryside than mice, rats and other undesirables which this kittycat will save us from.

Anyone who flags down a trooper because of a kitty bite deserves to be arrested for wasting taxpayer dollars.

Hmmm...I wonder how much Zero-Tolerance, special legislation for the police will come out of this one. Mandatory sentence for all cats, regardless of age, who dare challenge a Konnecticut cop?

Feral cats don't only kill mice and rats. They will also kill birds--and they don't care if the birds are threatened or endangered-- chimpmunks and rabbits. They are not good for for the environment. They will kill for food and fun, which can wipe out a lot in little time. Shoot them if you see them.

Feral cats destroy more than mice, rats adn rabbits they destroy birds eggs, small birds and carry diseases. Don't feed wild animals. They become dependent on the food humans supply and less fearful of humans. Any animal bite is no small matter. All other mocking words herein offer no solutions, just ignorance!

Yeah, you don't see the rapidly growing fox population engaging in those types of criminal activities (eating bunnies and endangered tree-rats) Oh wait. You do.

They kill for food, not fun. Fox are indiginous (sp), ferel cats are not. The wild populations will balance themselves out. Introduce something that doesn't belong and the "balance" is upset.
