"Stranglehold"? Surely you folks can come up with a better word! The will of the people--the voice of the voters--is not a "stranglehold".

The Republican Party has a decades-long "stranglehold" in that district, but there is no such description when it comes to the Democrat Party's "stranglehold" in Connecticut politics for decades.

Biased reporting.

The Headline states "Kane Declares Victory in Senate Race". Thanks for the hard work, News-Times, even in this instance because he's a Republican you couldn't bring yourselves around to declaring victory for him, the man had to do it for himself!
