I just heard Local 12 from Cincinnati report that BCI was called to investigate the recent Murders in Brown County because the Sheriff and Coroner are at odds with each other ?

That would be an understatement, but moreso, should be an EMBARRASSMENT to all who pay taxes in Brown County ! You are paying taxes that support the Sheriffs Office, why is it they call BCI and or why , as reported from Local 12 News ?

As I look at the profiles of the Officers in the SO, it appears they have trained personnel to perform this function. Why are they calling BCI ?

Because of a difference in opinion with the Coroner ? Where is the County Commissioners in this ? Why are they not holding those accountable, for performing their duty ?

People of Brown County, remember those who cared enough to do their job for you, NOT the ones who ignored their responsibility and or refused to perform !

Why didn't Sheriff Wenninger sign the papers when the prosecutor had a special prosecutor brought in to take care of what the Sheriff calls a feud and political motives?

Now with BCI taking over the duties from the Sheriffs Department I believe it says everything that needs to be said about the Sheriffs Department not knowing their job and doing their duty.

The Sheriff may want to get rid of his Chief Deputy Sheriff Schadle as it is he who would not send any Deputies to the scenes when the coroner called and requested him to have a Deputy return to the scene. Or he may want to send him back to school so he can relearn what he has forgot about the laws.

Or the commissioners could get the Sheriff to resign for misconduct.

Varnau should realize no matter what that he will NEVER be the Sheriff and he might as well get back where he came from and sit with his tinfoil hat in his house ....... I never begrudged him for his little lawsuit, but to DEMAND that he would be appointed to the Office instead of having a special election shows quite some NAZI tendencies .... Guess what , the next Sheriff will be Josh Black and the same ignorant fools will start the same shit all over

I know a Chief Deputy Coroner is the one person who can arrest a Sheriff. Is Mrs. Varnau legally entitled to do the same as Coroner? Where are autopsies performed while the Sheriff & Coroner are at odds?

A little respect please....it's DOCTOR Varnau. LOL.
I too heard that BCI was called in but then I read an article here tonight that said Varnau did it so who knows?

More concerning to me is the increase in murders and suicides in the last couple years!!

Way to speak your mind your mind and take the " High " Road. Hiding behind a fictitious name on here changes NOTHING ! The only way one or ten wrongs will ever have a chance of being made right, will be through knowledge of the wrongdoing and keeping the people of Brown County aware.

What is it you really fear ? Certainly it wouldn't be the " TRUTH " would it ?

Go ahead and put your head in the sand, others on here care enough to see the wrong and or evil dealt with. That's what " Good People " and " Christians " do.

If keeping the " Truth " in front of the Taxpayers of Brown County offends you, I would suggest your not being honest in who you are and therefore have NO credibility. No thank you, I don't feel your suggestion motivates me to stop posting, only to continue to reach out in hopes the level of awareness is heightened for making a difference for the Good People of Brown County.

You see, I believe its usually a smaller minority of evil in life that is the problem. To allow them to behave as they do, is too empowering and only God should have that kind of power.

You have a nice day now and a great life, it will be as a result of the Good People, you can.

It's easier than you might think to "arrest" someone in Ohio if you are willing to follow the proper steps and submit the right paperwork.
2935.09 Person having knowledge of offense to file affidavit - official review before complaint filed.(Abridged)
(D) A private citizen having knowledge of the facts who seeks to cause an arrest or prosecution under this section may file an affidavit charging the offense committed with a reviewing official for the purpose of review to determine if a complaint should be filed by the prosecuting attorney or attorney charged by law with the prosecution of offenses in the court or before the magistrate. A private citizen may file an affidavit charging the offense committed with the clerk of a court of record before or after the normal business hours of the reviewing officials if the clerk's office is open at those times. A clerk who receives an affidavit before or after the normal business hours of the reviewing officials shall forward it to a reviewing official when the reviewing official's normal business hours resume.

Thank you for that Pud but the Coroner isn't just a private citizen. I know in Hamilton County that the Chief Deputy Coroner is the only person who has the authority to arrest the Sheriff. My question is does the same hold true for Brown County and, if so, is there a Chief Deputy Coroner and is it Varneau and, if not, does the Coroner have the same authority. I understand also that the Coroner is a position that is voted into that title, anyone can run to be elected as Coroner, however, the Chief Deputy Coroner is not an elected official.

I don't know who you're talking about. The Sheriff makes over $60,000 and is still actively working in his own business. The coroner only makes $24,000 as coroner as it is a part time job and Is still a practicing on/gyn.

Who are you talking about?

I am appalled but not surprised to hear the SO is refusing to investigate murders. I've never heard of a county office that can pick and choose what they will do out of their legal obligations. I financially support them to do their jobs. I want my share of tax dollars back that go to the SO! Don't get me wrong, BCI is much better at this. They solved 2 murders in less than 24 hours. Has the SO ever solved a murder?

The employees at the communication center all signed the petition to get rid of the coroner. Are there no ethics in the workplace? I've listened to lots of tapes and the coroner is always respectful to them. Now we can't trust them to do what is right.

I guess no one else has ever had to work with someone they didn't like or get along with. I think I'll tell my boss I won't do my job because I don't like someone I work with and see how that works out for me. It's time people grow up and do their jobs. It's no wonder everyone thinks Brown County is a bunch of hillbillies. Evidently we are.

I tread a fine line here, ethically speaking, but the Brown County Coroner can "act" as a private citizen and arrest pretty near anyone she pleases. If any person "employed" as a law enforcement official, peace officer, sheriff, corrections officer or officer of the court in Ohio is observed by another "said" law enforcement official, engaging in a felony or felonious act, they may be arrested regardless of their respective "ranks". This would include a street pig busting the sheriff. I do not know if Hamilton County has some special legislation or "rider" to prevent this in the case of the Sheriff, but I doubt it. There was a case back in the 60's or 70's in Cincinnati where active Police Chief Carl Goodin was arrested by an underling but I'm too lazy to look it up. BTW, the Brown County Coroner is basically a one person show. She is the alpha and omega of death in B.C.

I believe BCI needs to park their trailer at the sheriffs office and start investigating all the deaths that have occurred in Brown County as the sheriffs office has not solved any deaths.

How many deaths are unsolved in Brown County? Or doesn't the sheriffs office and the prosecutors office have the smarts or the desire to solve any crimes?

What have they done with the murder on Rt. 68? The prosecutor ran for office that she had high technology's but did she or the sheriff get the cell phone numbers from the cell tower in that case? Why not? Was it a police officer that shot her, and they wanted to cover it up?

I thought the people in Brown County had a higher IQ and could think for themselves, but I guess not. Are the too lazy to want to know what is going on in their County or are they more interested in how much subsidy money they can get for not growing tobacco or getting other peoples land to claim they are loosing money?

Can people please just put their real names on here? It would credit and discredit a lot of the smut, my name fits just fine in the name box. However, I guess putting your real names would require you all to trademark the crap you put on here.

They call me Bond, " James Bond ". My real name fits better on an Affidavit, Deposition and other Legal Documents. That's where the " Credit " you seek and really matters, will show up. Thanks for asking.

Ethics do NOT exist in Brown County Law Enforcement ( all divisions included ). Its right up there with " Morals ".

I am curious has anyone apologized to the Adamsons for the lack of investigation , or is that also an ethical and moral issue. I am sure it is and as a result NO apology was given.

Oh I know, it might be a legal issue as well. Wouldn't want to act in an Ethical, Moral, and Human way; it would certainly compromise their style. In fact I suppose it might be possible, it could be construed as an admission of guilt ? That wouldn't bode well with the Prosecutor who might have to defend their actions..... Notice I didn t use the word " Honor " ! ONLY Zach Adamson was Honorable in his actions when " On Duty " for his Country, including Brown County.

Considering that's not how you spell Judge Gusweiler, my point is proven. Instead of sitting on here complaining and slandering everyone, get off your butts and do something about whatever is bothering you. Of course that would require putting a face with your ignorance and asinine opinions. I could careless about this garbage on here, but at least have the decency to put a name on the vomit that you're slinging on this site.

Really? You don't think perhaps that spelling was a "play" on his name? Just maybe?

As far as your posts go, why don't you post to topic instead of trying to divert attention from the thread at hand? If you have nothing to add to the discussion, leave it. You say you're not interested in what people have to say so quit posting.

I will answer your question though. Many may be afraid to use their real names due to their professional positions or those of their relatives. Vengeance is always a worry in these circumstances especially with the cult-like following of the sheriff.

Your question has been asked and answered so go elsewhere and have a nice day.
